The Cath Lab Technologist assists in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures at MCI ASC under physician supervision. Responsible for operating equipment, ensuring proper patient care, and maintaining safety protocols during procedures. Performs routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic tasks according to department protocols.
Specific Duties:
Perform equipment checks and maintain equipment for procedures.
Prepare procedure rooms with necessary supplies and assist with patient positioning and imaging.
Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures, reporting abnormalities.
Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional treatments.
Ensure radiation safety and maintain sterile techniques during procedures.
Document procedures accurately and assist with inventory management.
Provide training and act as a resource for staff.
Transport patients and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
ARRT certification required, RCIS preferred.
Licensed by the IL State Board of Medical Examiners in Radiologic Technology.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
2 years of Cath Lab experience required.
Compensation: Pay starting at $38.31.
