Accounts Payable Manager

Soni's client is looking for an AP Manager to oversee accounts payable operations and lead a team responsible for accurate, timely processing in a high-volume setting.

Job Duties:

• Lead and develop the accounts payable team through hiring, training, and performance oversight
• Manage invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing to meet accuracy and timing standards
• Monitor cash disbursements and coordinate timely vendor payments
• Reconcile AP activity with the general ledger and vendor records
• Review and approve payment runs, including checks and electronic payments
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, including annual 1099 reporting
• Support budgeting, purchasing records, audits, and financial reviews
• Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and record retention
• Drive process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce errors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years of prior team leadership responsibility
• Strong understanding of payables operations and internal controls
• Experience in high-transaction environments
• Proficient with accounting systems and common business software
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Proven ability to lead teams with a detail-focused, results-driven approach
