Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY

Rove is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Accountant to support the company's day-to-day accounting operations. This role is heavily focused on invoice processing, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple QuickBooks Desktop entities.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and supporting the Accounting Manager, this position plays a critical role in supporting the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, efficient, and comfortable managing large volumes of transactional accounting work in a fast-paced environment. In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this role will support the Marketing and Sales teams with accounting-related requests, reporting, and operational support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting Operations

• Process and manage high-volume invoices across multiple states and legal entities

• Manage accounts payable functions, including vendor setup and payment processing support

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations

• Maintain and support general ledger accounting activities

• Assist with treasury management and cash flow monitoring

• Support month-end close processes and preparation of financial reports

• Assist with P&L reporting and financial statement preparation

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation

• Support inventory accounting activities and related reconciliations

• Accurately enter and maintain financial data in QuickBooks Desktop

• Provide accounting support across approximately 21 QuickBooks Desktop entities

• Assist with manual accounting and bookkeeping tasks as needed

Financial Reporting & Cross-Functional Support

• Provide accounting and reporting support to Marketing and Sales teams

• Assist with financial reporting requests and operational analyses

• Support internal stakeholders with invoice tracking, expense allocations, and accounting inquiries

• Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounting processes, workflows, and operational efficiencies

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

• 3–4 years of accounting experience required

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop required

• Experience managing multiple entities within QuickBooks Desktop preferred

Solid understanding of:

• Accounts Payable (AP)

• General Ledger accounting

• Bank reconciliations

• Financial reporting support

• Inventory accounting

• Cash flow support

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables, Queries, Macros, advanced formulas, and reporting functions

• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
