As a permanent member of our FTEP team, you will work with growing small and midsize businesses, Fortune-ranked organizations, and even alongside our global consulting subsidiary, Protiviti, gaining exposure to new systems, processes, and industries while continuing to build your technical and leadership skillset.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will step into critical roles within client organizations to provide accounting support, drive process improvements, and help teams stay on track during periods of growth, transition, or transformation. Typical responsibilities may include:

Core Accounting

• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
• Prepare and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Support general ledger maintenance and documentation
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Operational Support

• Strengthen AP/AR, billing, and collections processes
• Oversee payroll accounting and related compliance activities
• Support audit preparation and coordinate deliverables for internal and external auditors

Projects & Process Improvement

• Lead cleanup initiatives, backlog reduction, and account remediation
• Drive improvements in reporting, automation, and workflow efficiency
• Assist in system implementations, upgrades, or conversions
• Support business process transformations across the accounting function

Who You Are

You’re a strong Senior Staff Accountant who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, adapting quickly, and delivering value from day one. You excel in fast-paced environments and love using your experience to make an impact.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Strong proficiency in Excel and common ERP systems
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and juggle priorities
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
