OSHA Safety Stand-Down Week may be one week on the calendar, but at Wohlsen, Safety is our #1 value every day. Last week, our field teams came together across our jobsites to talk openly about fall protection, share what we’re seeing in the field, and gameplan smarter ways to protect one another. Our Business Development Team engaged in a dynamic one-day continuous improvement session designed to enhance collaboration and accelerate professional development. This intentional time together created space for the team to exchange ideas, broaden perspectives, and elevate their collective impact. Throughout the day, the team explored a range of impactful topics which fostered meaningful dialogue and practical application, equipping participants with actionable insights to bring back to their roles. Our project team at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Maryland, took part in a team building session with Lisa Murray, Director of Learning and Development. This team learned about their individual strengths and ways to most effectively collaborate on this unique project, an occupied renovation including the demolition and reconstruction of an Olympic-sized pool, new finishes throughout, heavy mechanical system upgrades, and locker room renovations. Project Executives participated in a one‑day Continuous Improvement session focused on collaboration and professional development. The day provided an opportunity for Project Executives to connect, exchange perspectives, and build alignment. Throughout the day, Project Executives explored a variety of impactful topics, including Quality Management Plan, TAKT, contract‑driven behavior, Virtual Design Construction, and accountability. Through interactive conversation and practical scenarios, participants gained useful insights they can apply in their roles. Yesterday, we welcomed a few special guests to our Lancaster, PA office for Take Your Child to Work Day! Our team members’ little ones enjoyed touring the office, spending time together, and taking part in fun group activities—including getting creative while painting birdhouses alongside their parents. Rising behind a carefully restored historic façade, Gallery 118 is now open at 118 North Prince Street in the heart of downtown Lancaster. Wohlsen Construction was proud to partner on this project, delivering a new apartment building thoughtfully integrated behind the preserved façade—honoring Lancaster’s architectural character while introducing modern, single- and family-style residences to the city center.
