  • 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂. We have spoken with with a lot of strong, capable people who have been searching for months. Not because they aren’t qualified. Not because they aren’t working hard. But because many job searches quietly stall in one place: ➡️ The way your experience is written. Here is a simple exercise you can do this week. Open your resume and your LinkedIn profile and look at one recent role. Circle every line that starts with: “Responsible for…” “Supported…” “Assisted…” “Helped…” Now rewrite just one of those bullets using this structure: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗯 + 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 + 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. For example: Instead of “I helped the team improve the hiring process…” Write 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴. Instead of “I supported leadership with reporting…” Write 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. One important reminder: Do not overstate your role. Do not claim ownership you did not have. Do not inflate results you cannot explain in an interview. Strong resumes are not about sounding bigger. They are about being clear, accurate, and specific about your real contributions. Hiring managers are not trying to understand what you touched. They are trying to understand what you actually delivered. If your search feels slow right now, it does not mean you are doing something wrong.
