A marathon of a different kind. 🏃♂️⚡ This week I had the chance to join the Electronic Distribution Show (EDS) in Las Vegas – and I have to say: what an impressive format. Four days packed with highly efficient back-to-back meetings with key decision-makers from our e-commerce and distribution partners across North America. On top of that: breakfast meetings, evening events, side sessions and partner formats – from the Waldom evening event to both Master Electronics events, the Mouser Electronics / TTI, Inc. breakfast and the DigiKey breakfast. Intense? Absolutely. Efficient? Very much so. Energizing? 100%. A few things really stood out for me: 🔶 The momentum in North America is breathtaking. Driven strongly by data centers – and this is not a short-term wave. It is real, and it will stay. 🔶 Trust is built by people. We are close to our key distribution and e-commerce partners – and that level of trust does not happen by accident. A great confirmation was the Team Master Electronics Award – already the second supplier award for us this year after Mouser. A fantastic recognition, and above all a strong proof point for the outstanding job Tom Neff is doing with our partners in US. Very well done, Tom! 🔶 Our portfolio hits the right boxes. SNAP IN, u-mation, Power Supplies, and our Industry Match approach to meet customers in their specific applications – these are highly relevant topics for the challenges our customers and partners are facing. At the start of the week, I also had the opportunity to deliver an online keynote at the INDUSTRY.forward Expo Spring 2026 on Weidmüller’s role in the defense industry. My key message: modern defense capabilities increasingly rely on Electrification, Automation and Digitalization – combined with resilience and closer alignment between industry, politics and armed forces.
