One of the reasons a sustainable lifestyle may seem daunting is because we live in a world that's deficit in time. While it takes little time, making bioenzyme, comporting, or making my own tofu to avoid plastic packing, it still cuts into time that could be spent pursuing hobbies, writing, or spending time with friends and family. While there is an argument to be made that when these tasks occupy my hands, my mind wanders into better storytelling, a bigger solution is creating healthy communities. Whether it society wide composting or services like Calcutta Vegan Milk and Vegan Daily giving soy milk in reused bags when asked, solutions that bring us together are better for wellness and sustainable living. After all, talking to three people outside family and our LI feeds is one of the five tools of wellness. Yet, in certain areas the current way of life makes slowing down impossible. For example, this weekend. My partner and I were being awarded for our respective books by Ukiyoto Publishing. I won Best Women's Fiction of the Year for "Siya," and was also a panelist on "Poetry: A Tool for Social Change," with other eminent personalities. Given all this, a family member wanted to support us live. Let us remember that spending time together builds relationships and discourse, so while they could watch a video of the event later, I understand why they wanted to be there in person and am honoured by their presence. Yet, since they work in education and cannot leave their students for extended periods of time, their only option was the carbon-intensive choice of flying. Now, we know some flights would run regardless of passengers but we can support better transport like trains. Yet, this was an impossible situation, and it reinforced something for me. While cutting down on short-distance flights and overconsumption is imperative, technology and the sustainability movement need to work in tandem to innovate less polluting methods for emergencies, whether they be green fuel or rent shops to run down and rent extra items from that no one in the community has, or that introverts can rely on. Sure, less flights mean that those who do fly in emergency would not be a major source of emissions but this has its own drawbacks such as higher prices and availability issues etc. This doesn't apply to luxuries like flying alone. Say a single parent is working multiple jobs to put on the table, asking them to pick a more expensive green option isn't empathy. The sad reality is our systems aren't built for nature-positive life, and while fair-trade items are higher priced for good reason, they do become inaccessible for many. Essentially, I am repeating what many sustainability advocates have said. Sustainability in imperfect systems will be imperfect. Hence, as I told Entrepreneur Magazine in their 2026 30 under 30 list, we need more sustainable options whether it be in green reading that I spoke on or other areas. https://shorturl.at/GgB3x

It was my privilege and honour to be able to interview you during your booklaunch sir. My regards to Ukiyoto Publishing for this opportunity. Being one of the first readers of the book, I can definitely vouch for the fact that it is path-breaking and revolutionary, not just for the domain of Corporate Security and Risk but also for world of business as a whole. I am sure this one would be (and deservedly so) the next bestseller.
On this Independence Day, I am delighted to share a personal milestone that is deeply connected to the spirit of freedom, courage, and possibility. 🇮🇳 On 10th August 2025, my debut book, Going Beyond Boundaries, was officially launched at Solstice by Ukiyoto Publishing, in the prestigious and historically significant IMC Chambers of Commerce, Walchand Hirachand Hall. This moment was made even more special as the book was released in seven languages: English, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Chinese; allowing its message to transcend borders and connect with readers across cultures. I am profoundly grateful to Shiv Shivakumar for graciously writing the foreword. Being a bestselling author himself, his words set the tone for the journey that the book invites readers to embark upon, one of self-discovery, leadership, and stepping into uncharted territories. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the incredible leaders who contributed their Thematic Testimonials. Your insights, encouragement, and belief in this project have enriched its very soul. Deep gratitude to Rauno Hammarberg, Petri Kuivala, Josh Foulger, Ratnakar Bade CPP, CFE, CBCP, EGMP (IIMB), Dominic Krattoyil, Sabyasachi Patra, and Vinod Parambath, CPP®, CSPM®, BCCS®, CPO® for lending your voices and perspectives. Your words will continue to inspire readers to dream bigger, lead better, and truly go beyond boundaries. Going Beyond Boundaries isn’t just a book; it’s a philosophy shaped by years of professional experiences, personal reflections, and encounters with extraordinary individuals. It explores what it truly means to push past comfort zones, whether in business, in relationships, or in our own self-belief, and to embrace the uncertainty that lies beyond. Launching it so close to Independence Day holds deep meaning for me. Freedom, after all, is not just about independence from external constraints; it’s about the liberation of the mind, the breaking of self-imposed limits, and the courage to chart your own course. To everyone who has been part of this journey- mentors, friends, colleagues, and readers, thank you for inspiring me to live the message I write about. Here’s to breaking barriers, embracing new challenges, and going beyond our own boundaries together. Happy Independence Day! 📖 Get your copy here: Ukiyoto Publishing: https://lnkd.in/dkCEPXYH Amazon: https://lnkd.in/dFGbgXaZ Official Book Website: https://lnkd.in/dTmTUsVg Let’s continue to dream without limits, act with courage, and go beyond boundaries... together. #GoingBeyondBoundaries #BookLaunch #IndependenceDay #Leadership #GlobalRelease #UkiyotoPublishing #IMCChambers #ShivShivkumar #Inspiration #FreedomToGrow #International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) iMitigate Sandi Davies Samrendra Mohan Kumar

"Kargil, one of the two districts of the Union Territory of Ladakh, became famous during and after the eighty-four-day conflict in 1999. The story was primarily centered around two famous peaks Tololing and Tiger Hills. But, there is another obscured story of Kargil, which is beyond all “paradoxical or bigoted geopolitical narration” but carries a subtle and non-conventional political significance. That story is about brown bears, known as Dren-mo (in Kargil) or Eeash (in Drass, a sub-district of Kargil) in Ladakhi." When India will proudly celebrate its 79th Independence Day, marking 78 years of freedom, with the theme for this year's celebration as `Nation First, Always First,' know the obscured story of the city which has always been center point of patriotism in India. My non-fiction short story, part of an anthology on cities of India, published on account of Indian Independence Day! by Ukiyoto Publishing Premium Deluxe Coffee Table Book: "Bharat - The Stories Within" is designed as a high-quality, visually appealing coffee table book. https://lnkd.in/g8WnqiNd #Indianindependenceday #nationfirst #sustainability

I have such a hard time as a writer when it comes to piecing events together. Making sure there are no loopholes or reasons for the reader to stop reading, as the story keeps happening. If you are an aspiring author, let me tell you, it isn't easy, and it never gets easier. Writing stories needs dedication, effort and interest and of course, in turn, motivation. There was nobody to guide me when it came to writing. I had shelves full of storybooks, grammar books to teach young children and my interest in literature that fueled my motivation to write stories and ultimately led me to test my strength at the Creative Writing Memorabilia. The topic was to write about life post-social media, and all I could think about was a reel I saw of a guy teaching math to a child in the popular game: Among Us VR version, and that led me to think about the movie 'Belle' I watched in the year 2022. One thing led to another, and I wrote about how two girls navigate the world of virtual reality as the next phase, post the banning of social media worldwide. But as I sat there in Golpark, writing this story, all I could think about was the way to end the story I was writing; however, I couldn't, I failed to piece the events together, yet again. Dreams, as in the one you see with your eyes open, have always disappointed me and shown me disappointment around me. But believe me when I say this, dreams come with a bigger price that makes us want to push ourselves back and choose the ordinary life. No one, and I mean, no one, is ready to pay the price to dream big. And I think that's what I wanted to say metaphorically through 'Kirti's Dream', the title I gave to my story—the story which was given a chance by Ukiyoto Publishing, despite it being incomplete. I am truly grateful that I could let my words reach readers, yet again. Find your copy of Whispers Between Worlds here: https://lnkd.in/gcSTTsYf https://amzn.in/d/8ydFYHP Cheers to another book!
