For the first time, our Trinity Health hospitals in Southeast Michigan, including Trinity Health Ann Arbor, Chelsea Hospital, Trinity Health Livingston, Trinity Health Livonia, and Trinity Health Oakland, are partnering to conduct a 2026 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) survey! Trinity Health Grand Rapids has finalized plans to invest $22.7 million into the Richard J. Lacks Sr. Cancer Center, ensuring patients and families continue to receive state‑of‑the‑art, comprehensive cancer care close to home. This major investment includes expanded infusion and oncology pharmacy services, new and renovated patient spaces, enhanced Centers of Excellence programs, and growth of our expert oncology teams, all designed to improve access, coordination, and the overall patient experience. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2026 and will be completed while the Cancer Center remains open. Supported in part by more than $6 million in philanthropy, this project reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care for the communities we serve. We’re grateful to share exciting news for the Oakland County community today. Thanks to a generous gift from donor and patient Dr. Sandra Lyness, given in honor of Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Michele DeGregorio, Trinity Health Oakland will be able to establish a Heart Rhythm Clinic and a Heart Valve Clinic! This will ultimately enhance access to care, streamline care delivery, and improve the overall patient experience for those living with complex heart conditions. Rising labor, supply, and drug costs, coupled with Medicaid cuts, put health systems like Trinity Health Michigan at risk, especially when 21% of our patients rely on Medicare or Medicaid.
