Working in healthcare is more than a profession; it’s a calling that often begins long before a career does. Commonly sparked in childhood, that calling grows into a lifelong commitment to serve, to listen, and to care for those around us. At Trinity Health Michigan, we are honored to walk the halls alongside individuals who were truly born to care.

Health starts with access to nutritious food. Food Is Medicine programs help prevent and manage chronic illness, improve outcomes, and lower health care costs for patients and families. This week, Trinity Health Michigan leaders, including board chair Wayman Britt and CEO Shannon Striebich, along with Trinity Health Associate COO Rob Casalou, met with Rep. Haley Stevens and other elected officials in Washington, DC. We are advocating for programs that support a health care system focused on keeping people healthy and ensuring that care is affordable for all. Rising labor, supply, and drug costs, coupled with Medicaid cuts, put health systems like Trinity Health Michigan at risk, especially when 21% of our patients rely on Medicare or Medicaid. More funding cuts will worsen affordability and reduce access to care in the communities we serve. Thank you, Congressman John Moolenaar, for listening to recommendations from our board chair, Wayman Britt, and our CEO Shannon Striebich.
