Guitar Center is bringing back a name that helped define a generation of drummers. We relaunched Orange County Drum & Percussion (OCDP) as it celebrates its 35th anniversary—reviving a brand that stood at the center of Southern California’s alternative and punk rock scene, known for bold custom builds and unmistakable visual identity. As part of the relaunch, we’ve reunited with co-founder Daniel Jensen and Adrian Young (No Doubt). As we continue to focus on serving serious musicians, OCDP represents what’s possible when heritage, artist partnership, and direct connection to players come together. From development through retail, we’re able to build instruments that reflect what musicians actually want—and make them accessible nationwide. We had an incredible time celebrating Women’s History Month at the Guitar Center Company with our “She Rocks!” Lunch & Learn. Our panel of inspiring women leaders— Anne Buchanan, Myka Miller, MM, MBA, and Katelyn Peebles-Machen—shared candid reflections on their career journeys and the advice they wish they had when they were just getting started. The conversation, thoughtfully moderated by Kadijat Salawudeen, was filled with insight, honesty, and actionable takeaways. From advocating for yourself and embracing unexpected career paths, to building strong mentorship relationships and lifting others as you grow, the discussion was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have on each other and the next generation of women in music.
