About us

Fairmont Copley Plaza, known as the Grande Dame of Boston, has been a symbol of the city's rich history and elegance since its gala opening in 1912. Recently named a Top Employer by the Boston Globe and a Best Place to Work by the Boston Business Journal, our colleagues take pride in consistently exceeding the expectations of our guests. This luxury Boston hotel features 23,000 square feet of Renaissance-inspired meeting and event space as well as 383 individually designed guest rooms and suites, well appointed with lavish decor and thoughtful amenities created specifically for business and pleasure. After completing an extensive restoration project in 2012, the hotel shines brighter than ever. Contemporary guest rooms, elegant function space, and a vibrant new restaurant combine to create to the ultimate environment for work and relaxation. Centrally located in Boston's historic Back Bay, Fairmont Copley Plaza sits steps away from the Boston Public Library, historic Beacon Hill, and the Freedom Trail. Our historic landmark is located only a few blocks from the Hynes Convention Center, Copley Place Mall and the boutiques of Newbury Street. In addition to luxurious accommodations and gracious service, we also offer the unique services of our resident Canine Ambassador, Cori Copley – making our luxury Boston hotel feel just a bit more like home.

  • This World Bee Day, we'd like to introduce some of the smallest team members at Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston. 🐝 Our rooftop beehives, in partnership with The Best Bees Company and the Fairmont Bee Sustainable program, help support local biodiversity and strengthen urban pollination across Boston. The honey they produce is featured throughout our food and beverage experiences — bringing a true hive-to-table taste of the city. Sustainability isn’t a statement here; it’s part of how we operate every day. #FairmontCares #MakeSpecialHappen Fairmont Hotels & Resorts | Accor - North & Central America

  • As our Accor Sales Blitz Week comes to a close, we’re reflecting on an energizing week for our Sales and Events teams, filled with meaningful reunions and new conversations with valued clients and partners across our community. We’re truly grateful to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to connect with us. This week was a reminder that our industry is built on relationships, collaboration, and the ideas that emerge when we come together with intention. We closed the week with a special tradition — the May Soirée, jointly hosted this year by Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston and Raffles Boston. This longstanding gathering was begun nearly 30 years ago by Peggy Dray, when our hotel was known as the Copley Plaza Hotel, bringing together women from Boston’s philanthropic and business communities for an afternoon of connection and conversation. As sister properties under Accor, we were delighted to continue the tradition together for the first time at Raffles Boston, hosting this year’s soirée in the beautiful Emerald Salon. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who spent time with us this week! We’re grateful for these partnerships and look forward to many more opportunities to connect, share ideas, and build on what we’ve started together. • Happy Administrative Professionals Day to our incredible coordinators who keep our hotel running seamlessly behind the scenes. They are the backbone of our team, and their impact is felt in every detail of the guest experience. Today, we celebrated them with a special lunch at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen, a small gesture of appreciation for the big difference they make every day. We are deeply grateful for all that they do each day, and the care they bring to our team and guests.

  • In celebration of Earth Day, our team at Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston came together to create something simple, meaningful, and sustainable. 🌱 Using repurposed wooden pallets, we built a series of planters designed to give new life to materials that might otherwise go to waste. Each planter is filled with soil enriched by compost created from our own food waste and nourished with rainwater collected in on-site barrels, helping close the loop on sustainability within our hotel. But these planters are more than a visual display. The microgreens grown here will make their way directly into dishes and cocktails served in OAK Long Bar + Kitchen and through our event menus, creating a tangible connection between our environmental efforts and the guest experience. Guests will be able to see these living planters throughout the property, from the roof deck of our fitness center to spaces near our rooftop beehives. They serve as a daily reminder that even small initiatives can contribute to something bigger. This project reflects our ongoing commitment to thoughtful hospitality, finding innovative ways to reduce waste, reconnect with nature, and inspire both guests and colleagues to think more sustainably. Happy Earth Day from all of us at Fairmont Copley Plaza!

  • On National Puppy Day, we’re reflecting on a story that left a lasting impact on our team. 🐾 In 2015, a young guest named Brandon stayed at Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston while undergoing treatment for mitochondrial disease at Mass General Hospital for Children. On his most difficult days, there was only one thing that could bring him out of his room — time spent with Carly Copley, our beloved Canine Ambassador at the time. During his stay, a special bond formed between Brandon and our doorman, Michael Eades, Carly’s "dog dad". Seeing the comfort Carly brought, Michael was inspired to do more. With the support of Brandon’s family and the generosity of the Fairmont Copley Plaza team, a surprise was arranged: Brandon was gifted a black Labrador puppy, chosen to be both a loyal companion and eventually trained to assist with his medical needs. On the day he met his new best friend, Brandon was asked what he would name him. Without hesitation, he said: “Copley.” 💕 Stories like Brandon’s remind us that hospitality is never just about a stay. It’s about the people we meet and the moments we share along the way. And sometimes, it’s those very moments that stay with us the longest. #FairmontCopley #FairmontHotels #MakeSpecialHappen
