Today, all of us at Ted’s Montana Grill pause with heavy hearts to honor the life and legacy of our co-founder, Ted Turner. Ted and George McKerrow began this company with a handshake — and a shared belief that business could be a force for good. Together, they set out on a mission rooted in conviction and courage: to help restore the American bison and prove that purpose and profit could ride side by side. Ted’s vision was never small. His determination never wavered. And his belief in doing the right thing — even when it wasn’t the easy thing — became the foundation of everything we stand for today. He challenged us to think bigger, act bolder, and care more deeply: for the land, for the animals, and for each other. Like so many, we feel the profound weight of this loss. But Ted’s spirit is not gone from Ted’s Montana Grill. It lives on in every decision we make, every guest we serve, and every step we take toward a more thoughtful and sustainable future. It lives in the herds that once again roam free. It lives in the values we hold close and the purpose that drives us forward. Ted showed us that legacy is not measured in years, but in impact — and his impact is immeasurable. As we look ahead, we do so with gratitude and resolve. We will carry his vision forward. We will honor his tenacity. We will continue the work he so passionately began. Because of Ted, we believe a better world is not only possible — it is our responsibility. Godspeed, Ted.
