I loved spending today at Origin Hotel Red Rocks where the team hosted the Golden Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon. It was an honor for the hotel to be a finalist for the Golden Standard Award. We didn’t take home the win but were proud to be in such great company and even more excited to host this amazing group. Huge shoutouts to Todd Budd, Matt Szurko, Christopher Brooks, and the entire Origin Hotel Red Rocks rocks team—you all crushed it! The food was great, the wine was flowing, and the energy in the room was exactly what community should feel like. The keynote speaker, Parker White, shared a lesson from his time in the military that really stuck with me. In tough conditions one night on watch, a buddy, feeling the same stress, called him and suggested they create a “strong point”. A strong point is about two people anchoring together to create stability, support, and a shared mindset to push through challenges. Of course, he told the story much better, and it really resonated. So, I’m calling out my “strong point” buddy, Evelyn Barnes-Willingham. I am grateful to have you to anchor with. Big thanks to the Golden Chamber, our team at Origin Red Rocks, and everyone who joined us.
