It was an incredible evening once again of our community coming together at the North Shore Waterfront Gala in support of two organizations making a meaningful difference on the North Shore — Family Services of the North Shore and Harvest Project (Change the World Foundation) Project — with more than $200,000 raised for this year’s beneficiaries. We were also honoured to welcome the Mayor of the City of North Vancouver Linda Buchanan to our table for the evening. And yes — the matching polka dot dresses were a fun surprise. Events like this are a great reminder that when community, business, and local leaders come together, we can make a real and lasting impact. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success, especially the Gala organizing committee, and for continuing to support the important work these organizations do in our community. We're so proud to support this event as a founding sponsor alongside Fibreco Export Inc, Neptune Terminals, Pembina Pipeline Corporation and Seaspan Corporation. #NorthShoreWaterfrontGala #Community #GivingBack #NorthShore #HarvestProject #FamilyServicesNorthShore

We were pleased to hear from Prime Minister Mark Carney at this morning's Greater Vancouver Board of Trade event. A key message that stood out was the critical role Canada’s West Coast ports will play in our country’s future growth and resilience. As the Prime Minister noted, more than $1.1 billion worth of cargo moves through West Coast ports every day — a powerful reminder that our trade gateways are not just regional infrastructure, but national economic engines. The ambition to double non-U.S. exports over the next decade will require growing port capacity, improving productivity and moving beyond piecemeal approaches toward integrated solutions across industry, government and supply chain partners. The message was clear: this is a decisive period for Canada. The world wants to do more with Canada — as a reliable, and trusted trading partner — and our ports will be central to delivering on that opportunity. Thank you to the BC Maritime Employers Association for the invitation to join this important discussion. #SupplyChain #Trade #Infrastructure #Maritime #Ports #CanadianEconomy #SupplyChainResilience #WestCoastPorts #GVBOT

Meet the newest addition to the fleet in Squamish: a 2025 Kone SMV 33-1200C forklift powered by Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO). Built with a Cummins Tier 4 Final engine and fueled by renewable HVO diesel, this machine delivers the power and reliability our operations depend on while helping reduce emissions. Made from waste cooking oils, animal fats, and other renewable materials, HVO is changing the way heavy equipment can operate more sustainably. As a drop-in renewable diesel, it works in most existing diesel engines without requiring major equipment changes — making it a practical solution for reducing environmental impact today. Investing in lower-emission solutions like HVO is one of the ways we're working toward more sustainable operations while keeping cargo moving safely and efficiently. #Squamish #Sustainability #RenewableDiesel #CleanEnergy #HeavyEquipment

April showers bring May flowers… and at Canada Place, April training brings a smooth sailing cruise season. With safety as the foundation, April was all about preparing our people and operations for a seamless season ahead. Across the terminal, teams built skills, coordination, and confidence through hands-on training and simulations: 🔹 150 new ILWU longshore workers onboarded through dock rotations 🔹 Cruise reps trained on terminal operations, passenger flow, and coordination 🔹 Traffic attendants completed two days of classroom and practical training A key focus this year: strengthening connections between frontline teams and leadership to support smooth, consistent operations from curb to ship. #CruiseSeason #Vancouver #CanadaPlace #Maritime

At Canada Place, a successful cruise season starts with safety. Throughout April, our Vancouver Canada Place Cruise team—alongside partners across the terminal—took part in comprehensive safety and security training to prepare for the season ahead. From dock crews to traffic attendants, security teams to ship agents, training focused on real-world readiness: 🔹 Fire warden training and evacuation drills 🔹 Security awareness and incident preparedness 🔹 Insights from the Vancouver Police 🔹 Spill response and environmental readiness Leaders also worked through scenario-based discussions on how their actions shape a strong safety culture across the waterfront. Because when safety leads, everything else follows. Later this week: how our teams are turning that foundation into a seamless cruise experience. #CruiseSeason #Vancouver #CanadaPlace #Maritime #SafetyFirst

Our Victoria Cruise team marked Earth Day last week with a shoreline clean-up alongside Pacific Northwest Transportation Services (PNWTS), Tymac Launch Service, Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, and crew members from the Norwegian Bliss. With 44 participants taking part, the team collected litter and removed two large pieces of scrap metal weighing a combined 33 kg from the shoreline. A great day to get outside, give back to the community, and help keep our waterfront clean. #Community #CleanUp #EarthDay #Cruise #Shoreline
