How do I make the business case for joining the United Nations Global Compact? For many business and non-business participants, membership in the Global Compact is a natural extension and recognition of the work they already do. For example, organizations continue to be concerned about sustainability. A recent study, conducted collaboratively by the United Nations Global Compact and Accenture, showed that an overwhelming majority of CEOs surveyed (88%) saw a strong business case for focusing on sustainability. With the Sustainable Development Goals reflecting a global sustainability initiative, being able to connect with other organizations in the sustainability "space" is a key benefit of Global Compact membership. Beyond that, the Global Compact offers training, resources, and accelerators for participating organizations.
