A major milestone for satellite IoT connectivity. We're excited to announce that the Altair ALT1350 chipset is now certified under the Skylo Technologies Certification Program, bringing certified cellular plus satellite connectivity to the next generation of IoT devices and wearables. What sets the ALT1350 apart: ✅ The lowest power chipset for terrestrial cellular IoT, and also the lowest power chipset for satellite (NTN) communication ✅ Cellular and satellite connectivity in a single design, with on demand switching to Skylo's network when needed ✅ Rigorously tested and validated for connectivity, power efficiency, and reliability ✅ NTN support out of the box, with no additional hardware modifications ✅ From asset tracking and wearables to fleet management, logistics, agriculture, and maritime, manufacturers can now build products that stay connected anywhere on the planet without sacrificing battery life. "The ALT1350 isn't only the lowest power chipset for terrestrial cellular IoT, it's also the lowest power chipset for satellite (NTN) communication. Earning Skylo certification confirms that we can deliver this class of efficiency without compromising reliability or coverage. Combined with our OneSKU approach, customers can build a single device that operates globally, switches between cellular and satellite when triggered, and still meets the strict battery life targets that IoT and wearables demand." Dima Feldman, VP Product Management and Marketing, Altair Semiconductor "The Altair ALT1350 cleared a high bar in Skylo's Certification Program, and what stands out is its power profile. Devices built on the ALT1350 can switch from cellular to Skylo's satellite network on demand while preserving the kind of battery life that makes always available connectivity practical at scale. That combination of low power performance in both terrestrial and NTN operation is exactly what the market needs to bring satellite connectivity into mainstream IoT and wearable products." Karthik Ranjan, IoT Partnerships Leader, Skylo Together, we're making "anywhere, anytime" connectivity a reality at the lowest power in the industry. #NTN #SatelliteIoT #CellularIoT #ALT1350 #Altair #Skylo #LowPower #IoT #Wearables

Congratulations to our friends and colleagues at AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon on today’s announcement. This landmark JV reinforces the essential role satellite will play in the evolution of mobile networks. At Skylo, we’ve always believed that the future of direct-to-device isn’t determined by space infrastructure alone. It will be won by making satellite connectivity carrier-grade, standards-based, and interoperable across devices, networks, and geographies. Satellite should strengthen the mobile ecosystem, not fragment it. Staying connected should be a given. We aim to make connectivity invisible, ensuring it works effortlessly anywhere and on any device. We look forward to collaborating with our partners to accelerate the convergence of satellite and cellular, delivering an unparalleled experience for every user. Today, Skylo and Space42 are partnering to deliver commercial direct-to-device satellite connectivity over Thuraya-4. Not a roadmap announcement — we are already integrated & deployed, with Skylo's network service and technology framework running end-to-end over Space42's satellite resources. This is what standards-based #D2D looks like in practice: a global satellite operator, a service provider & technology developer running the network, and carriers at the center of the customer relationship. Thanks to Ali Al Hashemi Jassem Nasser, Amine El Ammari, and the Space42 team for the trust. More to come. https://lnkd.in/gbm665BM

LooUQ is excited to announce that we have officially entered the Skylo device certification program with our MTC2-N9151 embedded modem. Skylo (https://www.skylo.tech/) is the world's largest standards-based D2D NTN operator, and LooUQ is leaning into NTN as a game changer in providing the connectivity reliability that modern IoT demands. The MTC2-N9151 incorporates the Nordic Semiconductor nRF9151 System in a Package (SIP) paired with an antenna. This allows for a compact, high-performance multiband solution optimized for LTE-M, NB-IoT, and NTN communications ensuring that users never lose coverage. Together, they form a complete, certified modem + antenna solution in an compact M.2 form factor, making it effortless to add terrestrial and satellite NTN connectivity to virtually any device with an M.2 interface — from industrial gateways to asset trackers to custom IoT hardware. The device certification process with Skylo involves rigorous lab standards testing and field testing of the MTC2-N9151 within the Skylo network. LooUQ expects full approval and certification shortly. Once certified, customers who integrate the LooUQ solution into their own products can leverage LooUQ's certification — making it dramatically faster and more affordable to bring a Skylo-connected product to market. Engineering samples and development boards are available from both Nordic (nRF9151 SMA DK) and LooUQ (MTC2-N9151-UXP-KIT). https://www.loouq.com/
