SIMEDHealth reposted this
May 1st - 1/3 of 2026 is done. - 120 days into 2026. - 120 days UnitedHealthcare has retained and invested the 2025 Rewards money of SIMEDHealth employees and their dependents. Money obtained from the premiums paid by SIMEDHealth and our employees. - 120 days of silence. - 120 days of no UHC face, voice, signature, name, or anything stating they are contractually or morally right in keeping the earned Rewards money. We aren’t going away; we aren’t backing down!
First quarter of 2026 is behind us. For 90 days UnitedHealthcare has held the 2025 Rewards money earned by our employees and their dependents. SIMEDHealth paid premiums expecting the UHC marketed Rewards program to be there for those proactively achieving the requested health metrics. Rewards could be earned through 12/31/2025, yet at midnight Jan 1st, access to the Rewards portal was terminated! We have been unable to find any statement in the materials provided on enrollment, or on the UHC website stating the money expired at end of year. Previously Rewards payments could occur through the end of the 1st quarter of the following year. It’s about $16K. Less than the bonus received by the unnamed decision maker(s). Individually not a life changing amount for our employees; but this doesn’t make it right. UHC knows they aren’t ethically doing the right thing by keeping the money. If they felt right about what they are doing, why is nobody at UHC willing to put a face, a name, a person in front of us to explain their lack of action? After silence from UHC, every employee filed a complaint with the FL Dept of Financial Services. Insurers spend a lot in the FL political scene so it’s still an uphill climb. We’re not backing down!
