Health care only works when the people delivering it are supported.  In 2025, SCP Health invested in our clinicians through 34,000+ CME hours awarded, 170+ medical directors and clinical leaders attending in-person leadership development, a dedicated Chief Wellness Officer, and recognition through the AMA Joy in Medicine Health System Recognition Program.    Retention followed: 90% of our clinicians stayed.    Read more in the 2025 Annual Review: https://lnkd.in/gqh-xKH8

  • You trained for this. You show up for it every day. The right opportunity should meet that commitment—with local leadership that knows your program, resources that reduce your administrative burden, and a team invested in your growth and well-being. That's what we work to provide. Explore opportunities: https://lnkd.in/gP47zusF

  • The best clinical decision support tools reduce cognitive load, surface the right information at the right moment, and stay out of the way the rest of the time. Most importantly, they respect clinical judgment rather than trying to replace it. Here's what that looks like in practice.

  • Medicare reimbursement trends are putting emergency and hospital medicine under serious financial strain—and the consequences reach beyond individual practices. SCP Health Enterprise Chief Medical Officer, Randy Pilgrim, MD, FACEP, FAAFP recently spoke with HealthLeaders about the cumulative impact of years of inadequate inflation updates and cuts to the Physician Fee Schedule.  The core problem: when emergency medicine and hospital medicine practices are locked in financial triage, they can't make the long-term investments in AI, telemedicine, and care innovation that ultimately benefit patients. Dr. Pilgrim is calling for a concrete reform: a corridor limiting year-to-year variance in the PFS conversion factor, giving providers the predictability they need to invest in sustainable care delivery. • Courtney Sessums joined SCP Health as an FNP working in emergency medicine. After taking advantage of our NP/PA Advanced Certification Program, she completed her AGACNP—expanding her skills to manage critically ill patients and practice at the top of her scope. That growth didn't happen by accident. SCP Health's NP/PA Advanced Certification Program provides tuition reimbursement for eligible NPs and PAs pursuing advanced certifications in acute care, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine—because investing in our clinicians is investing in better patient care. Courtney put it well: "I truly appreciate SCP Health's commitment to investing in clinicians and supporting us as we grow professionally."

  • National Nurses Week is a moment to pause and say thank you. To every nurse in our SCP Health community, as well as all the nurses working across the country: your skill, your steadiness, and your commitment to patients make everything work. The work you do is extraordinary. We see it. We're grateful for it.

  • This month, we recognize the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, including the many AAPI clinicians and health care professionals whose work strengthens our teams and the patients we serve together.

  • What does The Pitt get right about emergency medicine — and where does it stretch reality? Dr. Ken Heinrich, our EVP and Chief Medical Officer for Emergency Medicine, joined the Health Innovation Matters podcast to break it all down. He and host Michael Levin-Epstein discuss the show's portrayal of AI in the hospital setting, how emergency care has evolved from the pre-digital era, and which characters Ken would actually want on his ED team. A great listen for anyone who's watched the show and wondered how close to reality it really is. https://lnkd.in/dVMpnNu8
