Congratulations to the everyone at APT on this well-deserved recognition. We’ve been privileged to collaborate with APT as theatre planners on both the iconic outdoor Hill Theatre and the indoor Touchstone Theatre. Every project has been a joy, working alongside a company whose heart, vision, and dedication to storytelling shines through in everything they do. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Lorna Luebbers. Lorna passed away on May 2, 2026, following a long battle with cancer. All of us at Schuler Shook mourn her loss and we are grateful for the years we had with her. Earlier this month, the entire Schuler Shook team came together in the Chicago area for three days of collaboration, conversation, and shared inspiration at our firm gathering, The Exchange. Created to strengthen connections across offices and deepen our collective practice, The Exchange brought together designers and staff for more than 30 sessions spanning every corner of the firm. We left The Exchange with expanded knowledge and awareness, a reminder of the breadth of our work, and most importantly, greater appreciation of one another. The National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington has been named one of the most beautiful museums in the world — and it's the only museum in North America to make the list. The honor comes from the Prix Versailles, a series of architectural competitions announced each year by UNESCO, or the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. The Arlington museum opened in March 2025 and recognizes recipients of the Medal of Honor, the highest military award for valor in the United States. bit.ly/3P3ZTpT

We’re excited to share that Walker West Music Academy, designed by Locus Architecture and our team of designers and engineers, has been named one of Finance & Commerce’s Top Minnesota Construction Projects of 2025. This recognition celebrates more than just great design, it highlights a project rooted in community, culture, and long-term impact. Located in Saint Paul’s historic Rondo neighborhood, Walker West is one of the region’s oldest African American–owned community music schools. The new facility transforms a former adult day center into a vibrant cultural hub for learning, performance, and connection, supporting students of all ages and backgrounds.
