  • Last week marked another successful Construction Safety Week across our active project sites throughout the region. Executive stand-downs were conducted throughout the week across Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, The Bronx, East Meadow, NY, Paramus, NJ, Greenwich, CT, Braintree, MA, and additional locations throughout the Northeast. Leadership teams engaged directly with field teams and trade partners through toolbox talks and on-site conversations focused on high-risk work, hazard awareness, preventive planning, and reinforcing the shared responsibility every individual plays in maintaining a safe job site. Thank you to our teams, trade partners, and everyone who remains committed to making safety the top priority every day. #ConstructionSafetyWeek

  • Primark officially opened its U.S. flagship store in Herald Square, New York City. Spanning over 54,000 SF across four floors, the new store brings the growing Irish retailer to one of the city's busiest shopping areas. This past Friday, the Schimenti project team attended the grand opening celebration, which featured huge crowds, giveaways, celebrity guests, and a block party atmosphere throughout the neighborhood. Schimenti is proud to continue our partnership with Primark as the brand expands across the U.S. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this flagship location to life. #SchimentiBuilt

  • On the final day of Construction Safety Week 2026, we hear from Thomas Nolan, Anna Campanelli, and Justin C. as they reflect on a successful week centered around the pillars Recognize, Respond, and Respect. Their perspectives reinforce the importance of the strong safety culture built across our teams and jobsites every day. While Safety Week helps bring these conversations to the forefront, the commitment to planning, accountability, communication, and looking out for one another remains part of how we operate year-round. We thank everyone who remains committed to making safety a priority in every environment in which we work. #ConstructionSafetyWeek

  • Day 4 of Construction Safety Week centers on Respect, reinforcing the importance of respecting the plan, the process, and the people carrying the work forward every day. Strong planning, open communication, and a willingness to speak up when conditions change are critical to preventing incidents and maintaining safe working environments across our job sites. Today, we hear from Alivia DeGrotta, Sean Wagner, and Christopher Seeley on the importance of accountability, collaboration, and maintaining a safety-first mindset throughout every phase of a project. Their message reinforces that while everyone onsite plays a different role, we all share the same responsibility of looking out for one another and upholding a strong safety culture every day. #ConstructionSafetyWeek

  • Day 3 of Construction Safety Week marks OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls, bringing awareness to one of the leading causes of serious injuries in our industry and reinforcing the importance of planning, communication, and fall prevention on every jobsite. Today, we’re sharing our latest Corporate Health and Safety video featuring members of our Safety and Operations teams including Daniel Barry, Anna Campanelli, Thomas Nolan, Justin C., and Matt Gerstung, who discuss the role safety plays across every phase of our work, the shared accountability required in the field, and the processes that help ensure safety remains at the forefront of everything we do. #ConstructionSafetyWeek

  • Day 2 of Construction Safety Week focuses on Respond, highlighting the importance of taking action once a hazard is identified. Responding is about building safety into the plan from the start, prioritizing the right controls, and making adjustments before risks turn into incidents. By eliminating or reducing hazards early through planning and coordination, we create safer conditions for every worker on site. Aligning with this theme, we hear from Nicholas Mignoli, Ayesha Moshette, and Macs Carberry-Santacroce on the importance of proactive response and prevention. Their message reinforces that safety is strongest when risks are addressed early, through planning, site awareness, and collaboration, rather than reacting after the fact. By staying ahead of potential hazards, we maintain control, reduce exposure, and continue delivering on our commitment to keep everyone safe. #ConstructionSafetyWeek

  • Welcome to Construction Safety Week 2026. This year’s theme focuses on three pillars: Recognize, Respond, and Respect, reinforcing the actions that help keep our jobsites safe every day. At Schimenti, safety is part of our culture and shows up in every decision, every conversation, and every jobsite, ensuring we stay focused on protecting one another. Aligning with today’s focus on Recognize, Matt Gerstung, Director of Corporate Safety, opens with a thank you to our field teams, project managers, trade partners, and everyone who plays a role in keeping our jobsites safe. He emphasizes that what we’ve built comes down to people showing up every day, staying engaged, and continuing to look out for one another, while reinforcing the role we all play in identifying risk and taking action. His message reminds us that safety is the responsibility of all and encourages a continued commitment to the behaviors, systems, and culture that protect every worker on our jobsites. #ConstructionSafetyWeek

  • At Schimenti Construction, our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) reflects a simple belief: the people who help build our success should share in it. Since transitioning to an employee-owned company in 2022, our team has had a vested interest in every project we deliver, reinforcing a culture built on collaboration, accountability, and long-term performance. The result is a workplace where employee-owners take pride in the work they deliver and the future they help build. Recognized year after year as one of the Best Places to Work, we’re continuing to grow. We invite you to learn more about our ESOP and explore current job openings at Schimenti. If you’re interested in joining our team, please apply online or reach out to Jeff Fannon or Matthew Banks. ESOP at Schimenti: https://lnkd.in/eWwp9NSU

  • Schimenti recently completed the build of two Target locations in New Jersey, including a full-scale retail redevelopment in West Orange and a new store in Jersey City’s Journal Square. In West Orange, Schimenti delivered a 150,000+ SF Target within a redeveloped anchor space at West Orange Plaza. The project reconfigured a multi-tenant space, including a former K-Mart and several other smaller stores, into a modern, full-scale retail environment, bringing a long-anticipated national retailer to West Orange Plaza and marking a major milestone in the property’s ongoing redevelopment. In Jersey City, the team delivered a 38,000 SF small-format Target designed for a dense urban setting, with a flexible layout that supports convenient, everyday shopping. The store features integrated amenities and fulfillment options, including drive-up, order pickup, and same-day delivery. Executed within a newly constructed high-rise, the project required phased coordination and integration of Target’s systems alongside ongoing base building work. Both locations include an on-site CVS Pharmacy and Starbucks for added convenience. Across both projects, Schimenti navigated complex conditions to deliver high-quality retail environments at different scales. Schimenti is proud to continue partnering with Target as part of its ongoing retail program. #SchimentiBuilt
