  • From Kenton Head Start Preschool to First School Dayton, our team had a great time participating in two Touch-A-Truck events! 🚛✨ Findlay Route Manager Dylan Menard and Shop Supervisor Terry Smith welcomed children at Kenton Head Start Preschool for an up-close look at one of their favorite trucks while sharing the important role waste and recycling professionals play in our communities. At First School Dayton, drivers Trevor Gutierrez and Don Pyles spent two days helping children explore the trucks, ask questions, and learn more about the hard work behind waste collection and management. Thank you to Kenton Head Start Preschool and First School Dayton for inviting Rumpke to be part of these special events! #TeamRumpke

  • For the 7th year in a row, Rumpke has been named a U.S. Best Managed Company by Deloitte Private and the Wall Street Journal. This Platinum Honoree recognition wouldn’t be possible without the trust of our customers and the dedication of our team. From investing in new technology and equipment to expanding recycling and waste solutions across our communities, we remain committed to delivering safe, reliable service every day. Thank you for choosing Rumpke to serve your homes, businesses and neighborhoods. We’re proud to keep growing, improving and working hard to keep the communities we serve clean and green. ♻️

  • Today, we’re celebrating our roots on #513Day — a tribute to the Cincinnati region we proudly call home. Rumpke Waste & Recycling began in Carthage, OH, when William F. Rumpke started collecting garbage from his neighbors and feeding food scraps to his pigs. By 1945, the business had outgrown its humble beginnings and moved to an 80-acre property in Colerain Township, OH, just outside Downtown Cincinnati. What started as a small operation has grown into one of the largest waste and recycling companies in the country, while still remaining a family-run operation. We’re proud to be the team that keeps 513 clean and green. ♻️ #Rumpke #513Pride #CincinnatiBusiness #Sustainability #CleanAndGreen #WasteAndRecycling

  • Murphy is a rescue dog who loves seeing the Rumpke truck arrive every Monday in Knott County. He runs, jumps and spins in circles (he’s been nicknamed “Murph-nado”) in excitement and has gained quite a following on social media because of it. Earlier this week, Murphy and his owner Heather Pigman got a special visit from Rumpke’s operations manager Troy Catron, who delivered a little goodie box for the good boy! Catron also brought Murphy a special vest made by a Rumpke employee. Additionally, Rumpke donated $300 to an eastern Kentucky animal shelter in honor of Murphy! Eastern Kentucky TV station WYMT stopped by to capture the moment and share Murphy’s story. You can watch it here: https://lnkd.in/g5kNAQ-v

  • Happy Mother’s Day to the women who lead, support, and keep everything moving—at home, at work, and in our communities. 🌷 Today, we’re proud to recognize Catherine Rumpke, whose impact helped shape who we are today. While raising four children, she built Rumpke’s first billing and customer service processes, hired and trained employees, and managed both a growing team and a busy household. She also gave her time to her church and led the PTA at her children’s school—proving that leadership takes many forms. Here’s to all the moms and mother figures making a difference every day. #HappyMothersDay #RumpkeHistory #RumpkeFamily

  • Rumpke participated in COSI’s annual Big Science Celebration as an exhibitor. This four-day festival features over 100 exhibitor stations with free, hands-on science activities from STEAM professionals, researchers and experts. More than 500 attendees visited our booth to learn more about what’s recyclable, play a game of recycling tic-tac-toe to test their recycling knowledge and grab some Rumpke swag. We also emphasized the importance of safe battery disposal and provided additional resources about where residents can take their used batteries and electronics. We’re grateful to have been part of this event and to help educate the community about which materials are recyclable and to answer questions about our operations. When we recycle properly, we keep our communities safe and our environment clean and green!
