(RGI), one of the nation’s largest privately owned construction aggregates and roadbuilding companies, announced today that Rockydale Quarries Corporation (RQC) and its subsidiaries, including B&S Contracting, Inc., has agreed to be acquired by RGI. The companies anticipate the transaction will close April 10, 2026, pending customary documentation, due diligence and closing conditions. Founded in 1932 and headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia, Rockydale Quarries Corporation has built a strong reputation for high quality aggregates, environmental stewardship, and a deep commitment to the communities it serves. Over nearly a century, the company has grown into an influential regional producer with multiple strategic quarry locations and asphalt construction across Virginia; a legacy shaped by the Willis family’s leadership and dedication to safety and service. Rockydale Quarries and B&S Contracting’s 170 employees will join Rogers Group’s workforce of more than 3,400 employees, expanding RGI’s operational footprint to 13 states. A key factor in the acquisition is the exceptional compatibility between the two companies’ values, especially their shared focus on safety. Rockydale’s long standing performance record aligns with Rogers Group’s “Zero Injury Safety Culture Without Compromise,” an operating philosophy that emphasizes employee well being above all else. “This is a milestone moment for Rockydale,” said Ken Randolph, President & CEO of Rockydale Quarries Corporation. “The owners of Rockydale are proud of our long history and the company we’ve built.
