From streetcars to smart grids, we’ve always powered connection. Utah Power kept families moving through the Utah Light & Traction system which operated from 1915 to 1944. Today, Rocky Mountain Power continues that legacy, delivering reliable energy and supporting our communities. #PoweringProgress

Powering Progress: Then & Now ⚡ Finished in 1924, the Cutler Project dam became a cornerstone of Rocky Mountain Power’s hydroelectric network. Located on the Bear River, it generates 30 megawatts of electricity, helping power communities across the region. The historic Cutler powerhouse, a three-story steel-framed brick building, stands as a testament to nearly a century of engineering, innovation, and dedication to reliable energy.

We’re honored to partner with the Guadalupe Center to help keep students warm this winter. ❄️ A warm coat can make a big difference for families during the colder months, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the annual coat drive. Thank you to the Guadalupe Center for the incredible work you do and for letting us be part of such a meaningful effort.

Powering Progress: Then & Now In 1912, four local power firms merged to create Utah Power & Light, uniting small electric systems across the Intermountain West to deliver reliable, connected service. What began with 39,700 customers in 130 communities has grown into the Rocky Mountain Power we know today, continuing a legacy of innovation and community partnership that’s more than a century strong. #PoweringProgress #ThenAndNow #RockyMountainPower

We were proud to join innovators, leaders, and community members at the One Utah Summit to discuss Utah’s future and how we’re helping power its continued growth and development. During his keynote address, our president, Dick Garlish, shared how for more than a century we’ve provided the reliable electricity that fuels Utah’s economy — and how we’ll continue powering progress for the next hundred years. Together with our partners and communities, we’re shaping an energy future that keeps Utah moving forward. As part of the event, attendees also had the opportunity to experience a ride in one of our bucket trucks. Thank you to our crews for showing participants how we help keep Utah powered! ⚡ #OneUtahSummit #Utah #EconomicDevelopment #UtahBusiness #EnergyInnovation
