Excited to share that our INR18650RC41 high-energy 18650 cell is now available in the Batemo GmbH Cell Explorer. One dataset I found especially valuable is Batemo’s PRO dynamic load profile. Unlike a standard constant-current curve, this is a realistic, time-varying discharge with ~3C peak events. It provides a clear, apples-to-apples view of how the cell responds to dynamic system loads across temperature. Performance highlights from the PRO profile (relative to 25 °C): 🔋 25 °C: 11.72 Wh | 42.7 W peak ❄️ 0 °C: 87% energy retention | 92% peak power retention 🥶 −20 °C: 81% energy retention | 87% peak power retention The strong retention at −20 °C is especially relevant for applications that require consistent performance in cold environments. 🧪 Validating real-world durability: Constant-Voltage Hold + Cycle-Life testing Combining constant-voltage (CV) hold at high state of charge (SOC)—to accelerate calendar-aging mechanisms—with subsequent cycle-life testing—to measure the impact of storage on operational life—is a powerful way to assess Li-ion cell durability. We held 21700 cells at 100% SOC for seven months (CV to 4.20 V, 25 °C), then cycled them. Our high-energy 21700 cells (300 Wh/kg, 5.8 Ah) performed comparably to—or better than—Tier-1 21700 cells (Samsung 50S and 53G) across both the CV-hold phase and the post-storage cycling phase.
