“We Move You.” Simple. Direct. True. Jay Fox opened the 2026 Mobility Conference with a message that perfectly captured why this industry matters. Transit is not just about moving people from Point A to Point B — it’s about moving lives forward. Behind every trip is a village of people and partnerships working together every day to serve our communities. Public transportation creates opportunity, strengthens communities, and powers economies. And as Jay said, when one of us gets better, all of us get better. A meaningful reminder of the impact transit has on the people and communities we serve. https://lnkd.in/gHsxrVWW

It’s official: the Midvalley Express (MVX) is now up and running. This new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line connects Murray, Taylorsville, and West Valley City with frequent 15-minute service designed to move people faster and more reliably through one of the busiest parts of the valley. MVX now joins UVX in Provo/Orem and OGX in Ogden as part of Utah’s growing BRT network. What makes BRT different? Higher frequency, higher capacity, smarter signal coordination, and infrastructure designed to keep buses moving efficiently. The result is transit that’s faster and easier to use. And for those who work at the state office buildings in Taylorsville (including the Calvin Rampton Complex and TSOB) there’s now a stop right outside your door. Big congratulations to everyone who helped make this project happen, especially our partners at Utah Transit Authority. Go ride the MVX today. It's FREE for three years! #TeamUDOT #transit #BRT #utah

A night out downtown. A first train ride. Friends laughing on the way to a concert. A family heading to a game together. These are the moments that begin on UTA — not just at the destination, but along the journey. With Ticket As Fare events, transit planning tools like the Transit app, and the Free Fare Zone, we’re making it simpler to turn everyday trips into meaningful experiences. See how UTA goes beyond just moving you to A to B. We move what matters most for individuals, families, and communities across the Wasatch Front. "BRT is efficient, fiscally responsible and effective. It also benefits the entire community—the people who never step on the bus—because we have less traffic and cleaner air." https://lnkd.in/epusJBUN [Utah Transit Authority]
