America Makes and the National Center for Defense Manufacturing & Machining (NCDMM) (NCDMM) are proud to announce the winners of a recent project call funded through the Department of Defense Manufacturing Technology Program (OSW ManTech), worth a total of $1.7M. The project call, Joint Additive Qualification for Sustainment – Supplier Qualification (JAQS-SQ) – Group 1, aims to accelerate the integration of non-traditional suppliers and scale defense industrial base capabilities by training and supporting manufacturers to meet required process control documents (PCDs) for qualified additive manufacturing (AM) production. We’re proud to share that we’ve been selected into Group 1 of the Joint Additive Qualification Standard (JAQS) Program, led by America Makes - one of fewer than 10 companies chosen for this initial phase. This program is tackling one of the biggest barriers to scaling metal additive manufacturing: qualification. For years, qualifying metal 3D printed parts, especially for military applications, has been complex, fragmented, and often dependent on “tribal knowledge.” The JAQS initiative is changing that. For the first time, industry, government, and academia are coming together to create a common, shareable set of standards that will enable additive manufacturing to scale, strengthen supply chains, and support critical defense needs. We’re honored to play a role in this effort. A huge thank you to the teams at America Makes, National Center for Defense Manufacturing & Machining (NCDMM), and Wichita State University (National Institutes of Applied Research, NIAR) for leading this initiative. This past week, as the crowds slowed at RAPID, we opened the doors to our facility just North of the city. Thank you to everyone who attended to view our operations and strengthen connections + EOS for the collaboration. 

Every booth at RAPID + TCT in Boston this past week had such an incredible through-line of innovation. We are proud to stand tall in that crowd.
