SIFMA Ops 2026 is a wrap. Four days in Marco Island surrounded by some of the sharpest minds in financial operations and as always, the conversations that mattered most happened away from the agenda. AI, digital assets, regulatory implementation, operational resilience, the themes on the main stage reflected exactly what we're hearing from clients right now. But it was the one-on-one conversations that gave us the clearest picture of where the market is actually heading. Our own MaryAnn Fappiano summed it up well: "There was significant attention on artificial intelligence, which is rapidly moving from experimentation to real-world implementation, as well as digital assets and extended trading hours reshaping post-trade workflows. What I was especially glad to hear was the continued emphasis on talent as the foundation of all of this transformation. The profile of talent may evolve, but the need for adaptable, forward-thinking professionals has never been greater." That last point is one we feel deeply. Firms are increasingly looking for professionals who can upskill alongside the changing landscape, where traditional knowledge of market structure and trade workflows must now be complemented by the technical and analytical capabilities to navigate a more digital, technology-driven environment. That intersection of deep domain knowledge and adaptability is exactly what we look for when we place talent in financial operations.
