💙💚Lighting the way in blue and green this May. In honor of Neurofibromatosis (NF) Awareness Month, Phoenix Children’s is proud to stand alongside our patients and families Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a genetic condition that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, often impacting the brain, spine, bones, skin and vision. While there is no cure today, awareness plays a powerful role in advancing support, research and advocacy for this community. Lighting our hospital is a small but meaningful way to raise awareness, spark conversation and show our support. #PhoenixChildrens #TeamPCH #NFAwareness

What a week! Thank you to Phoenix Children's for all the fun events, energy, and appreciation you brought to Health Systems Week. Our Animal-Assisted Therapy teams were honored to support in so many ways this week — from greeting staff and families at the entrances, to planning and running our very first staff-focused pet therapy event, to graveyard coffee runs and late-night visits for night shift teams. We also loved surprising people with pop-up pet therapy visits during hospital systems week lunch (and giving out sooo many stickers… proving you’re never too old for a fun sticker 🐾). After a month spent celebrating volunteers, therapy animals, nurses, and hospital staff, I am definitely tired — but incredibly thankful. My heart is full, and I continue to feel grateful to be part of a community that values compassion, connection, and caring for one another. 💜

As Health Systems Week comes to a close, I am filled with immense gratitude for the incredible work being done at Phoenix Children's. Throughout the week, campuses across the system came together for meaningful events that truly highlighted the heart behind this organization. It was inspiring to see so many people step up, volunteer, participate, and pour their energy into celebrating one another. The sparkle of this week wasn’t just in the events themselves, but in the people who made them possible. One of the biggest highlights of the week for me was the Health & Wellness Fair. The energy, engagement, and intention behind the event made it truly special. We had incredible vendors who showed up with passion, compassion, and a genuine desire to connect with and support our employees. Watching staff members engage, learn, laugh, and prioritize their well-being was such a rewarding experience. I’m especially grateful to have had the opportunity to lead something on this scale and incredibly thankful for the trust that was placed in me to help bring it to life. I also want to highlight my team Monica Singh Uddin, MPA, Kristin Shore, CWPC and Adina Cervantes for their unwavering support this week. Their dedication, creativity, encouragement, and willingness to jump in wherever needed made this week what it was. Behind every successful event there are countless moments of teamwork, problem-solving, laughter, and support. I truly could not have done any of this without them, and I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such inspiring women who care deeply about the people we serve and each other. 💛 As a contractor with Cigna Healthcare I’m especially grateful to be part of a partnership that supports the well-being of the incredible people behind the care. It’s meaningful to work alongside an organization that values employee wellness and recognizes the importance of supporting those who dedicate themselves to caring for others every day. I’m incredibly thankful that I get even a small opportunity to support these amazing individuals. To all of our employees at Phoenix Children’s: we see you, we appreciate you, and we are here for you. The work you do matters deeply, and the impact you make shines brighter than you know. ✨
