One month until Oncology Pharmacists Connect 2026. From practice-changing data fresh off ASCO and EHA to real-world conversations around patient care, OPC brings the oncology pharmacy community together for two days of practical education, collaboration, and connection in Austin, Texas. This year's theme, The Playbook for Advancing Oncology Pharmacy Practice, is exactly what it sounds like: a working game plan built for real practice. Every session is designed to give pharmacists the plays they need to navigate evolving therapies, operational challenges, patient access, toxicity management, cell & gene therapies, and more. You'll work through it alongside peers and leading faculty from across the country. One month to kickoff. We can't wait to welcome the oncology pharmacy community back to Austin on June 18–19. If you don’t follow Pharmacy Times, you should!! a lot of practical and great insight here? Thankful for the opportunity to talk about #Peptides with them.
As precision medicine, GLP-1 therapies, and emerging prevention strategies continue reshaping care delivery, pharmacists are increasingly responsible for translating rapidly evolving evidence into safe, scalable, patient-centered practice. The May issue of Pharmacy Practice in Focus: Health Systems explores the clinical and operational realities driving that shift, from expanding pharmacogenomics access and navigating peptide compounding oversight to implementing doxycycline postexposure prophylaxis, managing muscle mass changes with incretin-based therapies, and leading CGM-guided insulin deprescribing strategies. Each article reflects the growing role pharmacists play in balancing innovation, safety, workflow integration, and long-term patient outcomes across the health system. Excited to be co-chairing Oncology Pharmacists Connect this June and bringing together a leading faculty of oncology pharmacists from across the country in collaboration with Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) for continuing education One of the things I value most about this meeting is the “playbook” mindset. Oncology pharmacy continues to evolve rapidly, and conferences like this create an opportunity to come together, share real-world experiences, and discuss how we translate emerging evidence into better patient care. As one of the first oncology pharmacy meetings following ASCO, we will spend significant time discussing new clinical data, practice-changing treatment approaches, and the operational and clinical considerations surrounding cell and gene therapies. From formulary strategy and implementation challenges to toxicity management and patient access, the conversations are designed to be practical and actionable for oncology pharmacists across all practice settings. I’m especially looking forward to collaborating with colleagues, learning from other leaders in the space, and helping shape the next chapter of oncology pharmacy practice with Pharmacy Times and Pharmacy Times Continuing Education™ (PTCE) #oncology #hematology #ASCO26 #Pharmacy #managedcare #IDN #healthcare #hospital
