Pacifico Energy expands energy infrastructure footprint in Vietnam with site survey license for 500 MW offshore wind project. Pacifico Energy welcomes Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE) decision authorizing a site survey assessment for a 500 MW offshore wind project in Ba Ria Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City. The license is one of the first to be granted to a foreign developer under the new regulations. Pacifico Energy is a leading U.S. energy infrastructure developer, owner, and operator in the Asia-Pacific region, with over 1.5 GW of projects in operation and $5 billion of capital deployed in Japan, Korea, and Vietnam, and billions more in the pipeline, including a 3.2 GW offshore wind project in South Korea. Pacifico Energy is one of the few U.S. energy companies to have developed commercial-scale energy projects in Vietnam, with a 40 MW solar farm in Lam Dong and a 30 MW windfarm in Vinh Long. The offshore wind project will strengthen Vietnam’s energy security and support its economic growth targets, while also promoting the shared national security interests of the U.S. and Vietnam, aligned with the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Pacifico Energy has secured the largest power generation permit ever issued in the United States of America. GW Ranch has received its Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) air permit for 7.65 GW of gas-fired power generation. Together with our 661 Foundation we’re excited to announce that the East Side Aquatic Center officially opened in Bakersfield last week. It was made possible by Highland High School alumnus and our CEO, Nate Franklin, who donated $13 million to the design and construction of the center. The state-of-the-art facility on the Highland High School campus serves 4,000 students from three neighboring schools and houses the new B-Town Brazadas Swim Club for the wider community. With an Olympic-sized pool and programs from beginner lessons to competitive teams, it's designed to make swimming accessible to everyone. "At Pacifico, we talk about making an impact where it matters most. For me personally, that's right here at Highland High School, where I learned the values that shaped my career," said Nate, who came up with the initial idea for this project. Pacifico Energy Vietnam is pleased to announce the closing of $28.5 million in senior debt financing from Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) for its utility-scale Sunpro Wind Farm project. This is Pacifico’s second power project in Vietnam and a pivotal step in the company’s expansion in Vietnam.
