Pitch Comp Highlights 🥇 👏🏻
This past week, Evansville Orr Fellows took the stage at the University of Evansville for our Annual Pitch Competition. After weeks of collaboration, feedback and refinement, they finally got to bring their ideas to life.
Each pitch showcased the bright, driven minds in this community. The next generation of leaders are tackling real-world challenges with innovative solutions.
A huge congratulations to this year’s winners, Abigail Hornacek, Addison Evans, and William Morris, who took home the top prize with SafeSync—a proactive workplace safety solution. Their wearable ring monitors vital signs to detect early warning signs and help prevent overexertion and workplace incidents before they happen.
Second place went to Ava Ackerman and Abby Hobrough with SocialFit, an app that turns working out into a shared experience by matching users with the right people, routines, and schedules to help them stay consistent and connected. Built from a shared passion for movement and community, it helps people in new cities or life stages find accountability through connection.
What started as ideas evolved into compelling pitches!
A special thank you to our judges— Logan Jenkins, Tyler Stock, MPA, and Tad Dickel, Ph.D. for their time, insight, and support in making this experience so impactful.
We’re proud of our Fellows and we’re excited for this generation to continue shaping and strengthening the community with ideas like these.
