  • We’re seeing a clear trend in the market: more top C++ engineers are asking for Rust. For firms in trading, HFT, and Web3, this is more than a language preference. It is a hiring signal. If Rust is buried in your job description as a “nice to have,” you are missing out on elite systems talent. Engineers want to know they will have real ownership of Rust in production. When they do, you not only attract stronger candidates, you also keep them longer. Think of it as a dual advantage: -Hiring lever: Rust in your roadmap draws high-caliber generalists who can build and ship. -Retention lever: Engineers who join for Rust stay motivated when they actually get to use it. The takeaway: Don’t treat Rust as an afterthought. Make it visible in your stack, your job descriptions, and your roadmap conversations with candidates. The best engineers are already voting with their skills.

  • Strong manager-employee relationships are the backbone of productive, engaged, and successful teams. One of the most effective ways to build those connections? Regular 1-on-1 meetings. Here is what our Chief of Staff, Dayna Stoller, SPHR, PHR outlines to be the key characteristics of impactful meetings: ✔️ Create a safe, trusting environment for open dialogue ✔️ Set clear objectives before each meeting ✔️ Practice active listening and two-way communication ✔️ Provide constructive, actionable feedback ✔️ Support professional development and career goals ✔️ Proactively address challenges and concerns When done right, 1-on-1s go beyond check-ins, they become a tool for growth, alignment, and long-term engagement.
