We are so proud of our very own Sandy Guzman for her article in the New York Times. Sandy works in Connected Care for Older Adults, supporting seniors as they navigate health care and everyday needs. Her work focuses on helping older adults stay connected to the care and resources they need to stay healthy and independent. Her article highlights something we see every day: healthcare can be hard to navigate alone. Many older adults need extra support to understand their options, get to appointments, and connect with services like insurance, food, housing, and transportation help. That’s where community health workers and care teams make a real difference. They meet people where they are and help turn a complicated system into something more manageable. Sandy’s work brings attention to the importance of this kind of support and the people doing it every day in our communities. https://lnkd.in/gix49MuY

We were proud to sponsor and attend the 2026 Hearts of Gold event, an evening dedicated to celebrating remarkable honorees and raising critical support for women’s and children’s services at Providence Hood River Mem Hosp. Events like this are a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together to invest in the health and well-being of families. We’re grateful to be part of a network of partners committed to ensuring high-quality, compassionate care is accessible for everyone who needs it.

Picture this: your local clinic closes and suddenly there’s nowhere nearby to get care. For thousands of people in rural Oregon and Washington, that might become reality. One Community Health is where families turn for checkups, vaccines, and urgent care—regardless of ability to pay. But cuts to Medicaid threaten that lifeline. Your gift helps keep doctors, nurses, and care within reach for 29,000 people in our community. Donate today and help us keep healthcare local. https://lnkd.in/eZTnA45z
