In oncology, expertise matters. So does advocacy. This Nurses Appreciation Week, we’re proud to recognize Tori, a Medical Oncology Nurse at OncoHealth. As part of our utilization management team, Tori reviews treatment plans to help ensure patients can access the care they need. While her work may not always be visible, its impact is felt in critical moments, when clinical expertise helps guide the right decision for each patient. Her path to nursing started early, caring for her great grandmother alongside her family. That experience sparked a lifelong commitment to helping others, one that continues to shape her work today. Like many in oncology, her career didn’t start in this specialty, but once she found it, she never looked back. “Oncology is truly a special field. We have the privilege of helping care for people through some of the hardest times of their lives.” In her role, Tori brings both clinical judgment and thoughtful consideration to every case. Because in oncology, no two patients are the same, and sometimes the most important decisions are the ones that don’t fit the mold, but best serve the individual. At OncoHealth, it’s this combination of expertise and advocacy that helps us better support members and health plans navigating the complexities of cancer care. Thank you, Tori, for the impact you make every day.

In oncology, expertise matters. So does compassion. This Nurses Appreciation Week, we’re proud to recognize Laura, a Senior Oncology Nurse at OncoHealth, whose work reflects both. Laura reviews prior authorization requests across chemotherapy, supportive care, and radiation, helping ensure patients receive timely, appropriate treatment. Behind the scenes, her role plays a critical part in reducing delays and supporting better outcomes. But like so many oncology nurses, her impact goes far beyond clinical review. Early in her career, Laura cared for a patient close to her own age who was nearing end of life. Supporting her in preserving memories for her young children became one of the most meaningful experiences of her career, and a lasting reminder of the responsibility and privilege that comes with oncology care. “Advocacy in oncology comes in many shapes and sizes. It requires strong clinical judgment, but also a human approach to support patients and families through incredibly difficult moments.” At OncoHealth, it’s this combination of clinical expertise and compassion that helps us better support members and health plans navigating the complexities of cancer care. Thank you, Laura, for the impact you make every day.

The bladder cancer treatment landscape is evolving rapidly, bringing both opportunity and complexity for managed care. https://lnkd.in/e4Bf__XA From emerging bladder-sparing gene therapies in NMIBC to new perioperative combinations in MIBC, innovation is expanding options for patients while raising critical questions around: 🔹 Patient selection 🔹 Durability of response 🔹 Total cost of care 🔹 Toxicity of treatment As more therapies enter an already crowded space, the absence of head-to-head data will make coverage and treatment decisions increasingly challenging. In our latest expert analysis, we break down what these advancements mean for managed care and how plans can prepare. Read full analysis: https://lnkd.in/e4Bf__XA
