I attended Boldpush's AI demo day on 3/30. It was an intense 5 hours of amazing learning. There is some amazing new tech in event coming up (and already out).
A few things I was impressed with:
First, Bizzabo, Goldcast, and Cvent. These three certainly weren’t the “new” kids at the party, but if you have not taken a moment to stop and truly see what these 3 have been/are doing recently, then you should. It is some pretty rad stuff.
Backtrack - AI Notes for Hosted Buyer Meetings- The interface and reports were so smooth and clean that learning to use it would have a small learning curve. Once you get into how the app works you start to see how useful the tool is in planning and organizing the event selection process.
Blinq - It is in the moment lead capture and data enrichment. Having survived the 2019/2020 data enrichment in everything craze, I typically find talk about data enrichment a que to zone out. But the way Blinq integrates it, their app feels more like a connection app that happens to do data enrichment. Quite delightful.
EventTrek – I actually felt myself breathe out and my shoulders relax a little when they presented. I have spent days building databases of events and organizations to use for selecting attendance, sponsorships, speaking engagements, etc. They even had the rating system.
Exhibitly.ai – Is a great plugin for your event page that lets visitors create personalized “why attend” pages. I could see using it as a tool when pitching attendance leadership, or if you are want to convince a client to attend. It does slow the site down a little, but with the quality of the output, totally worth it.
Nowadays – How have we let companies like Expedia and Air B&B control how we travel and book private vacations. We need a company like Nowadays to save us. This is an end-to-end event planning platform and it delivers. It covers everything from venue sources, negotiation, budgeting to room blocks, activations, reporting. Seriously, why do I put up with the ads and garbage on commercial sites when things like this beautiful tool exist?
Snapsight – This is a content capture program that does some pretty cool stuff and lets you get the information out to your attendees day of if you want, instead of weeks later. But what impressed me the most was their translation and transcription tools. A lot of software can do this, but theirs was so smooth, without delay and handled idioms, contractions, and connected speech (glottal stops, sound blending, the ‘tt’ to ‘d’, etc.).
BTW, the ‘tt’ to ‘d’ is called a Flap T if you’re curious.
