    Today is #ClinicalTrialsDay and we are honoring Matison Kindelmann, whose dedication to clinical research has changed Cystic Fibrosis (CF) treatment, a genetic disease that affects the lungs and nutrition. For more than half her life, Mati has committed over 1,000 hours across 6 clinical trials at Cohen Children's Medical Center, directly contributing to two FDA drug approvals that have been proven to boost CF life expectancy to 65 years. Her participation underscores how patients drive medical breakthroughs.🔬 To say thank you, last week, our Northwell Health team celebrated Mati’s incredible spirit with a surprise Sweet Sixteen party. 🎉 🎈 And today, Christina Brennan, MD, and the clinical trials team presented her with the inaugural “Mati Award for Pioneering Hope” during a special clinical trials day event. Every year it will be given to someone making a difference through clinical trial research.
