The Emerging Leaders Class of 2026 had the incredible opportunity to visit the Westchester Community Health Center (WCHC) in Greenburgh on May 7th for an inspiring and informative session. We were honored to learn from WCHC CEO and NPW Board Member Judith Watson, who led a thoughtful discussion on the social determinants of health and provided valuable insight into the role and impact of a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The class was deeply impressed by the comprehensive, wrap-around services WCHC provides to the community. In addition to an engaging conversation, participants enjoyed a tour of the facility, a delicious meal, and a fun giveaway. We were also grateful to have NPW Board Members Maurice Segall of Pro Bono Partnership and Kathleen Macias-Torres, MPA of The Arc Westchester join us for this meaningful experience. A heartfelt thank you to the entire WCHC team for welcoming our Emerging Leaders program for the very first time, and special thanks to our program sponsor, M&T Bank, for their continued support! #EmergingLeaders #LeadershipDevelopment #CommunityImpact #HealthcareEquity #Westchester #NPW

This weekend, MorDance premieres Unwritten in Dobbs Ferry, NY, May 14–16. Something is happening inside this work that feels bigger than performance. Unwritten asks what it means for the Constitution to be a living document, one shaped not only by those who first wrote it, but by generations of people who have fought to expand its promises of freedom, equality, and belonging. Over the last months, Inhave been building this work with our dancers and creative collaborators through an intense and deeply human creative process inside our future home in Dobbs Ferry, a raw industrial space we are working to transform into a permanent center for dance, performance, and community. This short film offers a glimpse into that process: the rigor, the vulnerability, the questions, and the collective imagination that live inside the studio each day. I’m endlessly grateful to the extraordinary artists bringing this work to life with such depth and commitment and Nic Petry and Dancing Camera for so beautifully capturing this work. Following our Dobbs Ferry premiere, Unwritten will travel to New York City later this month. I believe the arts create space for reflection, dialogue, and civic imagination. I hope this work invites audiences into all three.
