A mother of three, she lives in Tribeca with her husband, singer songwriter, David Broza. Lotan launched her eponymous brand in 2003, grounded in the belief that a wardrobe should function as an extension of oneself. Her philosophy is that clothes should be clean, sophisticated and functional, offering elements for self-expression. Lotan’s design process is highly intuitive. She is inspired by women with a strong sense of personal style, and draws from art, music and rock and roll to design her collection. By designing pieces she herself wants to wear, Lotan’s collection instinctively resonate with a woman’s lifestyle.

  • "I was honored to take part in a personal discussion, reflecting on my journey through my career, motherhood, and identity. Together with Rabbi Deena Silverstone and 55 extraordinary women at Locanda Verde in Tribeca, we spoke openly about complexities of ambition, selfhood, Jewish identity, and motherhood. It was deeply meaningful to sit in front of women and share my experience—how I pursued myself, discovered the talent I was given, and built a life and career with conviction and purpose. Beyond inspiring women how to dress, I hope to inspire women to find their own journey in life. To trust their instincts, pursue what moves them, and allow themselves the freedom to become who they are meant to be. I reflected on accomplishment, reinvention, confidence, aging, and what it means to continue evolving at every stage of life. These conversations matter to me. Sharing experience, vulnerability, and strength with one another is how we empower women to pursue themselves fully." —Nili @jcpdowntown

  • "Lauren is joined by Nili Lotan, founder of the namesake fashion brand, for a candid look at what it takes to build a fashion brand from scratch—in her 40s, as a mother, and on her own terms. Lotan discusses the brand's evolution, how she navigates wholesale and direct-to-consumer, and her growing international presence. She also reflects on formative years at Liz Claiborne and Ralph Lauren, and how the desire for creative freedom became the driving force behind everything she’s built since." • Honoring Tribeca with love and gratitude. Our team spent the day at Duane Park—cleaning, trimming, and painting.  For Earth Day, we created a tee honoring the heart of Tribeca, featuring an archival image and the year it became a public space. Through April 30, 100% of net proceeds will be donated to Friends of Duane Park.

These past days have been heavy for all of us back home in Israel. Even while continuing our activity abroad, our hearts are there - with our families, friends, and community. As part of our ProWoman NYC activity, this week we had the privilege of spending an evening with the incomparable Nili lotan, who shared not just her journey - but the philosophy (and mythology) behind it. Nili spoke about the importance of constantly checking in with ourselves - making sure we’re in the right lane. When you are, things flow. It feels right. It’s even fun. Her path wasn’t about reinventing the wheel, but about listening deeply to an internal drive: → Stripping away the noise (true to her minimalist approach) → Building something that reflects an authentic need for the next chapter → Growing organically, on her own terms She reminded us that ambition evolves. What once was a desire to be “the best in the world” became something more meaningful: building a company rooted in purpose, community, and empowering women. A few takeaways we’re still thinking about: • The drive has to come from within • If something feels off - trust that instinct (“when there’s doubt, there’s no doubt”) • Use what you’ve been given - your strengths, your story - and do something with it • Growth is a series of transitions; learn from each one Above all, her message was simple and grounding: Are you where you’re meant to be? We’re grateful to call Nili Lotan part of our community - a deeply valued and meaningful figure whose support has had a lasting impact on our work. Two years ago, in the aftermath of October 7th, she launched a unique T-shirt initiative, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting the creation of our ProWoman Restart program. This program supports young women from conflict-affected communities, helping them rebuild or reshape their career paths while realizing their unique skills and potential. • In celebration of International Women’s Day, Nili Lotan chose to shine a light on painter and ceramicist Maggie Wells. Years ago, while visiting Guild Gallery, Nili encountered one of Maggie’s works—painted in ink and gouache. Strong yet simple, the piece had a powerful emotional presence and stayed with her. When she returned to the gallery, it had already been sold. Two years later, she discovered the work was still available. She purchased it and recently visited Maggie in her Greenwich Village studio—an inspiring experience and a reminder of the dedication it takes to pursue a life in art. Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is simply shine a light on another woman. #InternationalWomensDay

  • "Fall 2026 had a distinct Western flavor, thanks in large part to the accessories. Don’t expect to be hit over the head with cowboy hats, though. A belt with a large silver buckle served as a throughline for much of the offering. “To me, this explains all the collection because it’s Western, but it’s very modern,” said Lotan. Elsewhere in the offering, she nodded to chaps with her barrel-legged silhouette, which appeared in denim and suede.” —Hannah Jackson, Vogue Runway Read more at https://lnkd.in/eDhGhsHW

  • This month marks the opening of Nili Lotan’s new denim concept store at 183 Duane Street.  As denim grew into a defining part of the Nili Lotan collection, it became a more intimate way to express the spirit of the brand. Given Lotan’s deep connection to denim, its place in her own wardrobe, and the strength of the brand’s denim business in recent years, Lotan wanted to dedicate a space entirely to it in Tribeca. Located just across from the brand’s Tribeca flagship, here, denim comes to life beyond the rack. A place to explore its different personalities and attitudes, and to discover the pair that feels most like you. Nili Lotan Denim is now open at 183 Duane Street. #NiliLotan

  • We are excited to announce the launch of the new Nili Lotan brand campaign, featuring Lou Doillon and Stéphane Manel, photographed by Inez & Vinoodh in a Tribeca loft. This campaign represents a portrait of individuality and instinct—where denim becomes the foundation of the wardrobe and the uniform of real life. The campaign captures a raw, intimate energy that feels inherently connected to both the brand and the neighborhood it calls home.
