Yesterday, Jessica Collingsworth, Policy Director at Nexamp joined industry leaders in Springfield for a Solar Powers Illinois lobby day focused on thanking legislators for voting for the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act. The day included productive conversations with policymakers, including a meeting with State Representative Nicolle Grasse, to discuss the importance of expanding access to clean, affordable energy and supporting Illinois’ growing solar industry. Thank you to Solar Powers Illinois for bringing stakeholders together to advocate for a stronger clean energy future.

For more than 15 years, Chris has helped shape the teams, systems, and operational foundation behind Nexamp’s solar and storage platform. His leadership has played a critical role in helping the company grow while maintaining a strong focus on collaboration, accountability, and execution.  Chris embodies what it means to grow with purpose: leading with integrity, strengthening how we work together, and helping Nexamp build the operational discipline needed to bring projects online efficiently and at scale for the communities we serve.  In his new role, Chris will continue leading our integrated infrastructure and deployment platform across engineering, grid integration, operations, supply chain, and construction. Nexampers volunteered at the One8 Applied Learning Hub Student Showcase in Boston today. The event brought together students in grades 4–12 to present STEM, civics, and applied learning projects to industry professionals. Volunteers had the opportunity to speak with students about their projects, ask questions, and share real-world perspectives from their own careers. Events like this are a powerful reminder that the future workforce is already thinking critically, creatively, and collaboratively about the challenges ahead. We’re proud to support opportunities that encourage curiosity, innovation, and hands-on learning for students. Another successful site visit at Sutton Solar in Massachusetts! Nexampers had the opportunity to tour this operating solar farm and learn more about the construction, operations, and long-term impact of our projects up close. Visits like these are a great way to connect our day-to-day work in the office to the projects behind it all. ☀️
