I'm honored to join this team, and I'm deeply grateful to Ownership and Lew for their trust. I can't wait to get to work.” Most recently, Feldman was Senior Vice President of Partnerships & Revenue at Oak View Group (OVG) where he was one of the founding executives entrusted with leading the launch and expansion of OVG’s business in Canada. Feldman served as the lead commercial executive on OVG’s TD Coliseum (Hamilton, ON) $290M renovation where he was responsible for the partnerships P&L including ground-breaking agreements with TD Bank and Asahi Canada. He was also a key contributor to OVG’s larger commercial business, leading third-party engagements with notable properties including New York Golf Club (TGL), Canada Basketball, OVG’s Canadian Arena Alliance, and Athlos. Our next employee spotlight is Jiwon Lee, Baseball Data Scientist for the Mets, who joined the organization full-time earlier this year after interning with the team last summer. For Jiwon, AAPI Heritage Month is a reminder of the journey that brought her from Korea to New York City. Having lived in the United States for just five years, she reflects on the similarities between her own experience as if she was transitioning from the KBO (Korean Baseball) League to Major League Baseball. “There was a language barrier and a completely different culture to adapt to, but one common thread for me is the love of baseball,” shared Jiwon. While adjusting to life in the United States, Jiwon has carried many traditions and values with her from Korea, especially the importance of being polite and respectful in everyday interactions. Living in Queens has also helped her stay connected to home. “I’ve really enjoyed exploring the neighborhood, finding Korean food I love, and being close to places like H Mart that make me feel connected to my culture,” she shared. Jiwon says the Mets Asian Impact Team (Employee Resource Group) helped her feel welcomed and connected early on in her journey with the organization. “AIT gave me a sense of community and helped me meet new people who made me feel comfortable and supported,” said Jiwon. #AAPIMonth #MetsEmployees

As we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month this May, we’re spotlighting employees involved in our Asian Impact ERG (AIT) who share what this month means to them. Our first employee spotlight is Kaitlin Li, HR Coordinator for the Mets, who started with the team earlier this year. For Kaitlin, celebrating AAPI month means recognizing how her roots continue to influence and shape who she is today. “The experiences I had growing up, especially through family traditions, have played a big role in making me the person I've become. As I get older, I'm still learning more about my culture, and that ongoing connection brings me closer to my Chinese heritage,” shared Kaitlin. “The Mets Asian Impact Team has already given me a sense of community and a space where I can connect with others who come from a similar background,” said Kaitlin. “Being in HR, I meet so many people across the organization, but AIT has given me a deeper sense of connection with those who share similar experiences.” #MetsEmployees #AAPI #LGM

The New York Mets announced today that Ben Colabrese has been appointed as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the executive leadership team. Colabrese will join the organization on April 27 and will oversee all finance and accounting operations in support of the Mets’ Business and Baseball Operations. “In this period of unprecedented investment and extraordinary growth, bringing in a CFO of Ben’s caliber is a critical step in scaling our organization to meet the moment,” said Lew Sherr, President of Business Operations. “His proven ability to lead through complexity and transformation will strengthen our management team, sharpen our strategic execution, and ensure the financial stewardship needed to further accelerate our momentum.” Colabrese’s appointment is an important step in the ongoing evolution of the front office under the leadership of Steve and Alex Cohen. By bringing in a leader with a proven track record in high-profile roles, the Mets are further strengthening a foundation of operational excellence. Ben’s strategic mindset will be vital in driving cross-departmental collaboration and ensuring the organization is built for enduring success, both on and off the field. “I am thrilled to be joining the Mets at a time of significant momentum and growth both on and off the field,” said Colabrese. “I am truly honored at the opportunity to work with the world-class organization that Ownership and Lew have assembled, and I look forward to supporting the success of one of sport's most iconic franchises.” Colabrese joins the Mets with an extensive background in elite sports and media leadership, most recently serving as CFO of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators. He brings deep MLB expertise to the organization, having spent six years as EVP of Finance and CFO for the Toronto Blue Jays (2018–2024), where he oversaw all financial operations and reporting for the franchise. During that tenure, he also held the role of SVP of Finance for Rogers Media, managing complex financial landscapes across a broad sports and broadcasting portfolio. A seasoned executive in strategic growth, Colabrese previously led over 30 M&A transactions as VP of Corporate Development for Rogers Communications and served as CFO for Pelmorex Media. Colabrese holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. As we round up our coverage for Women's History Month, today we're highlighting Rachel Neugart, Assistant Field Coordinator at the Mets Dominican Republic Academy. This will be Rachel’s fifth year with the Mets. "Women's History Month is a time where we are privileged to learn and uncover stories about women who came before us and paved different paths in different areas, different industries, different parts of the world while also recognizing the role that women play in our personal lives,” Rachel added. “Within the field of women coaching in baseball, I’ve looked at women like Rachel Folden — who’s now our Double-A hitting coach — and many others who I’ve worked with throughout my career, she added. “These women have given a lot of time to me within my career, and I’ve been able to lean on, learn from, and look up to them as they open doors throughout the game.” #WomensHistoryMonth #LGM #MetsEmployees #Mets
