This week, New Jersey proudly celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4–8, 2026) — a moment to uplift the educators whose work strengthens our communities every day. We join Governor Mikie Sherrill in recognizing their extraordinary contributions. From creating inclusive classrooms to partnering with families and supporting the whole child, teachers demonstrate "the dedication, skill, and passion of educators” through every lesson, every challenge, and every breakthrough. To all New Jersey teachers: Thank you for your commitment, your heart, and the difference you make in the lives of students across our state.
