There is no beer without water. That’s why we invest in creating and maintaining healthy land and waterways, which make our ingredients and beer possible. Last year, we teamed up with Mad Agriculture, Whole Foods Market, and 20 other food and beverage companies to help launch Wildling, a biodiversity highway initiative that reconnects nature across U.S. farmlands. Wildling integrates native prairies, watersheds, and perennial plantings into working farmland with an ambitious vision: to create a 65-million-acre “Wild Grid” of connected multi-use habitat throughout America’s agricultural regions. The project supports healthier ecosystems by rebuilding water quality, restoring biodiversity, and improving soil health, protecting the ingredients that make your favorite beer. For New Belgium, sustainable agriculture and water stewardship aren’t an afterthought, but foundational to our brewing. About us
New Belgium Brewing is a leading US premium adult beverage company, known for its iconic portfolio and Human Powered Business model. What started in a Fort Collins, CO basement in 1991, has grown into one of the most successful breweries in the country. Today, the business proudly brings brands to life like the innovative Voodoo Ranger IPA lineup, renowned Bell’s Two Hearted IPA and Oberon Ale, an award-winning wood cellar program, and innovation that pushes the category forward. At the center of everything is New Belgium’s Human Powered Business model. For more than three decades, we’ve led with the simple idea that people are at the heart of everything we do. Across all areas of our business, we consider the well-being of our coworkers, our customers, and our communities, and recognize the responsibility we all have to leave a lasting positive impact. This ethos has taken our company far. We expanded to Asheville, NC, in 2016, Daleville, VA, in 2023, and acquired Bell’s Brewery, in Kalamazoo, MI in 2021, and in 2025 took over the US production and distribution of Kirin Ichiban.

Great beer is about enjoyment, and we believe it’s best enjoyed responsibly. That’s why we’re proud to share a big milestone: New Belgium is the first craft brewery to join Responsibility.org, a national nonprofit leading the charge to eliminate drunk driving through education and awareness. Becoming a Responsibility Champion is a meaningful step forward for us. It reflects our long‑standing belief that looking out for one another—our coworkers, our communities, and the people who enjoy our beer—only makes the good moments better. Responsible consumption and having a good time don’t have to be at odds. We’re eager to help lead the way.

Since day one, we’ve built our business around the wellbeing of our coworkers, customers, and communities – knowing that lasting success depends on the impact we leave behind. That’s why we put pen to paper and measure our impact – because we know progress doesn’t happen without reflection, and commitments only matter if we’re willing to check our work. This week, we released our 2025 Human Powered Business Report – a look at how we’re showing up in our communities, advancing climate action, and building on 35 years as a Human Powered Business. It features stories from the coworkers and supply-chain partners behind it all. This work is a shared effort. Our ambitions only go as far as the suppliers, retailers, and community partners willing to come along with us. Thank you – let's ride on. Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/eRNnym4D

Most days you’ll find us brewing world-class beer, but today we’re taking some time away to roll up our sleeves and care for our waterways and outdoor spaces that sustain us. Traditionally a paid holiday for New Belgium coworkers, Earth Day has always been about taking the opportunity to step outside, reconnect with nature, and reflect on the landscapes and waters that make our lives and craft possible. While we’ve certainly enjoyed that paid holiday tradition, we recently asked ourselves, “What if we could do more?” This year, coworkers are coming together across the country for our first company-wide Earth Day Volunteer Event supporting organizations focused on waterway protection and outdoor stewardship. After all, clean water isn’t just a vital environmental resource; it’s one of the most essential ingredients in our beer and a core pillar of healthy, thriving communities. Protecting our rivers and streams safeguards the places where we live, work, and play, ensuring we can continue to brew world-class beer for generations to come. Thank you to our incredible nonprofit partners at Asheville GreenWorks, Kalamazoo River Watershed Council, Roanoke County Parks and Recreation, Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed, and the 5 Gyres Institute for hosting our teams and making our first company-wide Earth Day Volunteer Event possible.

Ten years in Asheville and we’re building back better. This year marks a decade since New Belgium opened its Asheville brewery and, after everything this city has weathered, the milestone carries a new weight. When Hurricane Helene struck Asheville in September 2024, it didn’t just flood streets and displace families; it altered the cultural landscape of a place defined by creativity and resilience. Our brewery felt that impact as did our neighbors across the river in Asheville’s creative River Arts District. Studios were submerged and murals washed away; artists lost not only their spaces, but in some cases, the work that sustained their livelihoods. As the city rebuilds, we asked ourselves what that meant for us to build back better. How could we honor this community and contribute to its renewal in a way that felt authentic? For us, the answer became a reimagined tour experience, one that puts Asheville’s artists at the center of how we tell the New Belgium story. Their work is now displayed throughout our brewery, shaping the way visitors experience this place and reminding us daily of the creativity that defines our Asheville community. If you’ve never visited our Asheville brewery, or it’s been some time since you’ve taken a tour, we invite you to experience New Belgium like never before, built back better, and a celebration of the incredible artists of Asheville.
