Great day out on the green! A couple of our team members recently had the pleasure of hitting the links at the beautiful Mansfield National Golf Club. We joined a fantastic golfing group, teeing off alongside fellow professionals who are driving the home construction and building supply industries forward. There’s nothing quite like trading the office for the fairway to build relationships, share industry insights, and enjoy a little friendly competition with our peers. A very special thank you to Daniel Gottlieb for helping organize the event!

We started Moss Utilities because we want to change the world. One piece of pipe at a time. One story at a time.
About us
Moss Utilities is an employee owned company specializing in underground utility installation including water, sewer, storm drainage, duct bank, and fire lines. Our project capabilities and experience include commercial, education, industrial, datacenter, single-family residential, multi-family residential, and public works infrastructure projects all over the DFW Metroplex and the great state of Texas. The Moss family has a legacy in the utility construction industry here in Dallas-Fort Worth dating back to the early 1900's. In 2016, Garrett Moss, fifth generation in the business, decided to start Moss Utilities with the goal of creating a company that fosters both personal and professional growth of our employees and treats both customers and employees like family. We intend to continue the Moss legacy of excellent workmanship, a passion for our industry, and honor and integrity in the way we do business. The Moss family has always been proud of our history, reputation, and loyalty to our friends, family, coworkers, employees, vendors, and suppliers. We will be there for our customers and employees when they need us. We understand the need in today's world to create and foster long and mutually beneficial relationships with our customers, suppliers, and subcontractors. This is an "old school" mentality which can still be executed today more than ever. Please email us or give us a call today. We would love a chance to show you what we can do and earn your business and friendship as well. We strive to exceed the needs of our customers and we pride ourselves on the quality of our work. Our team is built with experience and knowledge, but most importantly we have a passion to excel at our trade every day.

For almost five years, Nelly has been an essential part of the Moss Utilities family. She brings immense dedication and a vibrant personality to our team. Since she joined us, she has watched the company grow from around 80 employees to nearly 600! As our payroll expert, Nelly's process is extremely thorough; she goes through about 500 timecards every week. Her ultimate point of pride is ensuring nobody gets a short paycheck, and that everyone is compensated for their hard work. Thank you, Nelly, for your dedication, your constant growth, and for always looking out for our crews!

At Moss Utilities, our strength comes from our people. Today, we’re keeping the Moss Fuerte momentum going by spotlighting our incredible Foreman, Jose! With 21 years of construction experience under his belt, Jose joined the Moss family 7 years ago and hit the ground running as a Foreman from day one. He’s the kind of leader who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty—whether he’s managing a complex project, jumping on the heavy machinery to help the crew, or working on his absolute favorite type of pipe: the sewer line. Jose is a proud "Girl Dad" to three amazing daughters. When he’s off the clock, you can usually find him listening to Norteña music, catching a Monterrey soccer game, or relaxing by the water. Jose’s hands-on leadership has made a massive impact on our team over the years. When we asked him what advice he has for the guys in the field looking to step up in their careers, his message was simple but powerful: "To become a foreman, you have to be open to learning and being able to take feedback." Moss Fuerte Jose!

We recently brought our team together for a company-wide Town Hall, and it was a highly productive and inspiring session. As we continue to experience rapid growth, it’s more important than ever to pause, align our vision, and set our sights on the future. Our central theme for the next chapter? Moving from "Good to Great." We’ve built a fantastic foundation, but scaling a rapidly growing company means stepping up our game. To make that leap, we are doubling down on what truly drives our success: our people and our processes. The transition from good to great doesn't happen overnight, but with the incredible team we have in place, we are well on our way. Here’s to the journey ahead. Moss Fuerte!

Rain might keep us out of the trenches, but it never stops our commitment to safety. As an underground wet utilities company, a rained-out job site just means it's time to pivot. Today, the Moss Utilities crews are taking advantage of the weather by practicing our quality assurance procedures and job hazard analysis. While it’s common in the industry to treat a rain delay as an unexpected day off, our ground crews are built differently. Their willingness to show up, stay sharp, and shift their focus to training speaks volumes about their relentless dedication to their craft and to looking out for one another.
