Stroke can happen to anyone — any age, any time. Knowing the signs could save a life. It could save yours. May is Stroke Awareness Month. Monument Health Stroke Coordinator Morgan Lantis, BSN, RN, takes stroke education directly to care teams at Rapid City Hospital through a program called Clots and Coffee — walking every floor, every shift, making sure our Caregivers are prepared to recognize and respond to stroke the moment it happens. For patients and families, that preparation matters more than you might realize. Stroke interventions are time-sensitive — some treatment windows close within hours of symptom onset. The faster our teams act, the better the outcome for you. Knowing the BE FAST signs yourself is just as important. Balance changes, vision shifts, face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty — any of these are reasons to call 911, not wait. #StrokeAwareness #MonumentHealth #StrokeAwarenessMonth #BEFASTStroke #HeartAndVascular #PatientCare #KnowTheSigns #HealthEducation #CommunityHealth #RapidCity

At Monument Health, impacting our community is one of our core values and a daily priority. That's why Monument Health is among the contributors behind $108,700 in scholarships recently awarded to area students through Black Hills State University – Rapid City. These funds are helping reduce financial barriers for students across a range of backgrounds, supporting their pursuit of degrees tied to regional workforce needs. Strengthening western South Dakota starts with investing in the people who live and learn here. Monument Health has been part of this community, and partnerships like this one are how we intend to keep making a difference for generations to come. Monument Health has been named the 2026 Granite Award honoree by Elevate Rapid City, and this is a huge honor for us. The Granite Award recognizes a business that serves as a true pillar of its community through long-term stability, leadership and sustained investment in the region. For an organization rooted in western South Dakota for generations, that has been and will continue to be our goal. To be recognized this way by the Rapid City business community is a reflection of every caregiver, team member and leader who has made Monument Health what it is across generations. This award belongs to them. We look forward to celebrating at the Elevate Business Awards on June 9. https://lnkd.in/gdzD6aW7 #MonumentHealth #GraniteAward #ElevateBusinessAwards #RapidCity #SouthDakota #HealthCare #CommunityLeadership #WesternSouthDakota #BlackHills #BusinessLeadership

What does it take to grow annual Foundation giving from $500,000 to over $6 million in just three years? For Brad Archer, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Monument Health, it started with a simple conviction: physicians have to lead the way. When Dr. Archer joined Monument Health in 2017, he saw an opportunity to strengthen the bond between the health system and the Black Hills community. He helped establish the Foundation Physician Leadership Group — a collective of physicians committed to demonstrating, through their own giving, that Monument Health is worth investing in.
