We are excited to welcome Joshua Henderson to Mission: Cure as our Chief Cure Strategy Officer. Joshua brings experience in rare disease strategy and drug development, including leading global efforts in patient registries and using real-world data to inform research and accelerate the development of new therapies. With Mission: Cure’s growing pipeline of treatment candidates and expanding therapy development partnerships, now is the time to bring on dedicated leadership to accelerate this work. Joshua will lead our efforts to identify the most promising new and repurposed therapies, complete rigorous clinical trials, and bring effective new treatments to the patients who need them. Joshua also brings experience in observational research, patient education, and rare disease advocacy at the state level. This Giving Tuesday, we're reminded of Aviv, an 8-year-old girl living with chronic pancreatitis. Her condition is a stark reminder of the urgent need for better treatments, and a cure. Chronic pancreatitis is not just painful - it’s a progressive, debilitating disease that leads to life-long complications from malnutrition to diabetes, and is life shortening.  It robs children of normal lives and a full future.  Patients deserve better. They deserve a full, healthy, productive future. They deserve a cure. Powerful conversations at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization Patient Advocacy Changemakers Event last week, where our CEO, Megan Golden had the opportunity to connect with leaders across the rare disease space. One standout moment: hearing from Luke Rosen, a respected advocate and parent whose family's journey helped drive the development of Antisense Oligonucleotide (ASO) therapy for his daughter. His story underscores the real-life impact of Genetically Targeted Technologies and why continued innovation and access matter so much. We were proud to be alongside fellow Chan Zuckerberg Initiative partners Tricha Shivas (Foundation For Sarcoidosis Research) and Jennifer Schmitt (Congenital Hyperinsulinism International).
