Excited to see progress underway at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater following last month’s groundbreaking. The groundbreaking of Winther & Heide Halls marks the start of a significant campus renovation project, including updated study areas, open labs, and lecture halls to support modern teaching methods. We’re proud to be part of this milestone and look forward to the impact this project will have for years to come. (UW-Whitewater photos/Craig Schreiner)

Earlier this month, we were proud to be part of the ribbon cutting for the new Sun Prairie Utilities. Members of #TeamMiron took part in Kids Building Wisconsin in Madison! This event attracted more than 12,000 attendees and gave young minds the opportunity to learn about construction through hands-on experiences. The Miron team had participants work on recreating an image using their coloring and sticker-placing skills! It's always an honor to meet with children and remind them the important lessons of hard work and determination that are so important in the construction industry.

As part of Miron's overall mission to educate our employees on the importance of mental health, we are participating in Be Seen in Green Day in partnership with Mental Health America. MHA's objective is to reduce the stigmatization of mental health by spreading awareness and resources. Green is the international color symbolizing mental health and it is the color most often associated with peace and tranquility. We are proud to don our green attire in support of MHA's noble cause.

Last week, a group of elected officials toured the Bartillon Shelter in Madison. Miron is proud to have recently completed this project as it will serve the unhoused community and make a difference for the Madison area. Along with that, we are also proud of this facility's high-performance sustainability features such as geothermal heating and cooling, solar power, and storm water management systems. Attendees included US Representative Mark Pocan, Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, Dane County Executive Melissa Agard, and representatives from the City of Madison, WI as well as the U.S. Green Building Council.
