"I'm fine" doesn't aways mean you're ok. Mental health is part of overall health — and it deserves to be talked about just as openly. If you're struggling or know someone who is, support is here. Let's talk about it. Call MHACG's Mobile Crisis team at 518.943.5555 or 988 for the national lifeline. . . . #mentalhealth #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MHAM #mentalhealthsupport #crisissupport

An important reminder — mental health is health. Today is the start of Mental Health Awareness Month — an important time to remind you that mental health affects all of us. You don't need to have a mental health diagnosis to make mental health a priority. 1 in 5 people do experience mental health challenges, and we can show up and support just the same as someone recovering from any other medical condition. Recovery is possible, and support is always available when you need it. . . . #BeKindToYourMind #mentalhealth #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MHAM #MHAM2026

Thank you to everyone who came out and marched with us for Take Back the Night this past Friday, and a special thanks to Lance Wheeler for capturing this important event for us so beautifully. We applaud the strength and courage of survivors sharing their stories and speaking out against abuse. Though April for Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention Month ends today — the fight to end sexual violence, assault and abuse in all forms does not. Continue to believe survivors, challenge victim blaming, and educate others on respecting boundaries and caring for one another. 🩵💙💙🩵 . . . #SexualAssaultAwarenessMonth #TakeBackTheNight #EndVictimBlaming #stopsexualassault #stopabuse #SAAM #believesurvivors #survivor https://lnkd.in/eEwWcGAM

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month — a time to come together and take a stand for children's safety and wellbeing. Today, our team planted Pinwheel Gardens outside our offices — a symbol of hope and the bright future every child deserves. Through our Child Advocacy Center, MHACG works every day to support children and families impacted by abuse — and help prevent it through education, awareness, and community connection. Be on the lookout for Pinwheels across the community as a fun and friendly reminder to protect children. #ChildAbusePreventionMonth #preventchildabuse #pinwheelsforprevention

Last week, members of our REACH and Child Advocacy Centers spent time with students at Cairo-Durham Middle & High School planting pinwheels, powerful symbols of hope and bright futures, in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month next month. Students also took part in a meaningful activity, identifying their “safe adult” at school...someone they trust and can turn to when they need support. It was an inspiring morning filled with connection, conversation, and a shared commitment to keeping kids safe. We’re so grateful to the students and staff for welcoming us! Our staff had a great time! #PinwheelsForPrevention #ChildAbuseAwareness #ChildAbusePreventionMonth #StopChildAbuse #ChildAdvocacy

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month It's typical to think it's something involving kidnapping or only in big cities. In reality, anyone can fall victim, and youth are especially vulnerable to sextortion. This is a powerful, interactive film that shows how fast and easy youth can fall victim. https://noescaperoom.org/
