Houston Press' Cinco de Mayo roundup has Mexican Sugar on the list. They highlighted our Tres Amigas Flight, a limited-time tasting trio running May 1 through May 5 at all locations. The flight brings together the Prickly Pear Sorbet Margarita, the Chupa, and the Frozen Sangria Swirl, available as a trio or ordered individually. When Houston Chronicle is rounding up the best Cinco de Mayo celebrations in the city, we're glad to be part of the conversation. Link in the comments.

  • Mexican Sugar was featured on KTBC Fox 7 Good Day Austin! 🌮 Host Atiana San Miguel got an inside look at our newest location at The Domain in Austin, TX, walking through the space from the grand entrance to the bar and private dining rooms. Director of Operations Justin Beam shared how every detail was designed to feel like a hacienda from the moment you walk in. Chef Gustavo Fuerte brought the menu into focus, highlighting our scratch-made approach rooted in bold, Latin recipes and an elevated agave program. Proud of the Mexican Sugar Austin team for bringing this vision to life. 🥂 https://lnkd.in/gG9cdX7d

  • Uptown Dallas has no shortage of great places to eat, so it’s always exciting to see Mexican Sugar make the list of best restaurants. DiningOut Magazine included Mexican Sugar in its roundup of the Best Restaurants in Uptown Dallas. The story highlights what makes the restaurant stand out. A lively dining room. A beautiful patio. And our Agave Library that turns tequila and mezcal into an experience of its own. We're so grateful Mexican Sugar continues to be one of Uptown’s favorite places to gather and proud of the Uptown team for creating an experience that keeps earning this kind of recognition. 🎉 https://lnkd.in/gXHfEVd5

  • Something special is taking shape at Mexican Sugar Austin. This week we welcomed media and influencers into the space for a first look, and the energy in the room was on fire. The restaurant opens later this month, but the design tells a story before a single margarita hits the table. Metal artist Rae Ripple created custom lighting that anchors the space and glows like sculptural works of art. On the exterior walls, muralist Ruben Esquivel of East End Eclectic brought the brand’s story to life through hand-formed clay inspiration and the rhythmic patterns of Latin design traditions. Hidden within the mural are three birds that quietly represent the past, present, and future of Mexican Sugar. Inside, layered textiles, handcrafted tile, and warm wood beams bring a modern hacienda spirit to life. Every detail was designed to create an immersive sultry experience from the moment guests walk through the door. We can’t wait to open later this month!

  • When we started building our National Margarita Day lineup at Mexican Sugar, we didn’t want a one-day special. We wanted a moment. That led us to HENRY'S HOMEMADE ICE CREAM, INC., a North Texas favorite known for small-batch, all-natural ice cream made locally. We asked their team to create something just for us. They came back with a bold Prickly Pear sorbet that became the centerpiece of our Tejas Margarita Flight. 🤠 🍨 🍹 Three margaritas. One flight. Zero regrets. Hundreds of guests ordered it over the weekend, and the momentum is still going. The Tejas Margarita Flight stays on the menu through Texas Independence Day on March 2, because celebrating a great margarita needs more than a weekend. The bigger story? This is what happens when two local brands collaborate to create an experience for the guest. It's a great story you can taste.

  • We loved sharing the Mexican Sugar story with el Restaurante. What began in Plano in 2013 has become a collection of restaurants across Texas, each one designed to immerse guests in the heart of Latin cooking and design. From our handmade tortillas to our focus on Familia and the stories behind every ingredient, this feature gets to the heart of what makes Mexican Sugar special. Justin Beam, our Director of Operations, spoke about how we keep the experience immersive and authentic as we grow, and how each new location has its own soul while staying rooted in our brand DNA. Thank you to el Restaurante for shining a light on our team and the craft behind what we do. https://lnkd.in/gnjK7iPU
