Developing advanced chip-scale quantum devices for next-generation position, navigation, and timing capabilities.

About us

Leveraging the power of quantum sensing, we are miniaturizing the capabilities of GPS Satellites to the size of a chip for use in portable electronics. Applications include autonomous systems (air, ground, and sea), smart grids, deep-sea exploration, military secure environments, infrastructure monitoring, off-shore wind construction, and several others. The company is in stealth mode but stay tuned for more updates.

  • Reposting this because it captures a shift we’re seeing across photonics and quantum. We’re proud that Amirhossein Ghods, our VP of Photonics, was invited to speak at SPIE Defense and Commercial Sensing on VLPI: Engineering the Next Era of Photonic Integration. It was a strong and timely discussion on where the field is actually heading. Very Large Scale Photonic Integration is no longer just an R & D ambition. It is quickly becoming an engineering and manufacturing problem. Amir spoke about what it really takes to get to scalable, end to end photonic systems that work outside the lab. Not just elegant designs, but systems that can be built, packaged, and deployed reliably. At Mesa Quantum Systems, this is exactly where we focus. Whether it is advancing our VCSEL stack or designing our sensors for high volume precision manufacturing, the goal is simple: take deep tech from concept to product as fast and as rigorously as possible.

Governor Polis stopped by Mesa Quantum yesterday and we may have gotten a little too excited talking about quantum tech. Our CEO, Sristy Agrawal dialed in live from abroad to share our story because time zones are simply no match for quantum enthusiasm. Fair warning: if you ask us about the future of quantum sensing, atomic clocks, and Colorado's deep tech ecosystem, we will not stop talking. Turns out, neither will he. It is genuinely rare to have a conversation with a state leader who does not need the 101 explainer, who asks the hard questions, and who clearly sees the long game. Colorado's quantum moment is not coming. It is already here. And we are building it from Boulder, one vapor cell at a time. Proud to call Colorado home. The altitude is high and so is the ambition. #QuantumTech #Colorado #DeepTech #MesaQuantum #BuildingTheFuture Link to Governor Jared Polis’s post: https://lnkd.in/ghvJWV2q https://lnkd.in/gNHDi_Wm

Our co-founder, Wale lawal, Ph. D., was recently invited to the University of New Mexico to speak as a panelist at the High Technology Materials Townhall on Workforce Development. Thank you to the moderator Inder Thukral and other panelists for an insightful discussion. We feel incredibly privileged to have participated in such a positive and productive event with Steve Walsh. Thank you and we look forward to future opportunities together in New Mexico. The discussions brought light on the topic that quantum revolution won't just be built on breakthroughs in physics—it will be built by the people translating those ideas into real-world applications. Bridging the gap between classical engineering and quantum mechanics is one of the most critical challenges our industry faces today. Our industry requires a diverse array of talent, from theoretical physicists and photonics engineers to advanced manufacturing technicians. New Mexico is setting the gold standard on how to nurture this deep tech ecosystem. By backing the Elevate Quantum Consortium and investing $25 million into QNM-I, the state is uniting powerhouses like The University of New Mexico, Sandia National Laboratories, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. Add in initiatives like the Quantum Technologies Award, which Mesa Quantum was incredibly proud to receive, and early-stage companies finally have the crucial funding needed to get production off the ground. Wale lawal, Ph. D. had a fantastic time speaking with quantum tech trainees at the The University of New Mexico. We are proud to say that at Mesa Quantum, we aren't just talking about building the workforce—we are actively cultivating it as a dedicated partner in New Mexico’s workforce development. We are now #hiring for our positions in our New Mexico office, expected to be open this summer. Please check out active job postings here and stay tuned: https://lnkd.in/g8UdezsC

  • Happy World Quantum Day! At Mesa Quantum, we're building quantum devices that are redefining what's possible in precision timing, navigation, and positioning. And we fully understand and appreciate that the quantum future isn't built alone. To the teams pushing the limits of what's possible, the government bodies investing in our collective future, the partners and customers who believe in what we're building, and the brilliant minds across academia and industry: today is a reminder of what we're building together. Quantum isn't a race between technologies. It's an ecosystem. And the best is still ahead. #WorldQuantumDay #QuantumSensing #QuantumTechnology #PNT #DeepTech

New Mexico’s Job Training Incentive Program covers at least 50% of trainee wages for up to six months, helping companies grow while workers build real skills. In Q1, we supported 18 companies to hire nearly 400 New Mexicans. One example: Mesa Quantum Systems in Albuquerque, where co-founders Sristy Agrawal and Olawale Lawal are advancing domestic quantum manufacturing right here at home. Amirhossein Ghods our Vice President of Photonics  was  invited to speak at the Photonics Summit at The University of Texas at Arlington. It’s always an honor to share the stage with leaders in the field, but the real highlight was the conversation that followed. Amirhossein shared our latest results on quantum-optimized VCSELs (Q-VCSELs) for chip-scale quantum sensors.  It was encouraging to see strong engagement from the audience, particularly around how the technology can strengthen both our commercial and defense infrastructure. We are grateful to Weidong Zhou, The University of Texas at Arlington for the invite and to everyone who stopped by to interact and ask insightful questions. For the curious minds, please check out the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/g3ty-MBB

  • Mesa Quantum is growing quickly and we met vibrant talent at the APS Career Fair in Denver. Congratulations to Daniela Amalfi Ojeda for winning our Career Fair iPad Sweepstakes, shown here on the right with Mesa Quantum's Sajia Afrin, Ph.D. on the left! Dani is currently pursuing a master’s in Materials Science and Engineering, focusing on oxide thin films and superconductivity (YBCO) grown via MBE. She is especially interested in opportunities at the intersection of quantum materials, fabrication, and characterization, and she is excited to connect with others in the field. Expected graduation in August 2026. Best wishes to you, Dani! And thank you to all of the job-seekers who stopped by and spoke with us about the wide variety of opportunities on our Mesa Quantum team.
