About us
Men’s Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization fighting healthcare inequity in Los Angeles with Mills Clinical Research and our clinical partner Southern California Men’s Medical Group. Our Public Programs include SoCal Club, a community center in South LA for gay and trans people of color under 30, as well as access for all ages to PrEP and PEP, help with health insurance, and assistance for people living with HIV. Our in-house pharmacy is URAC-accredited, and our clinics accept most major insurance plans. If you’re currently uninsured or underinsured, we can serve you too.

With everything happening in healthcare right now, I've been thinking about the role I play at Men's Health Foundation, where I work. I think about my colleagues — the medical assistants, the nurses, the doctors. The social service staff I work with every day. The people who are actually in the room with patients. And then I think about myself. Most patients never meet me. And honestly, that's how it should be. When I do my job well, you don't see me. What you see is a smooth, easy scheduling process. A clean, welcoming lobby. Staff who know what they're doing and feel trusted enough to do it well. Engaged, caring team members who have time to actually be present with the people in their care. No weeks-long wait for an appointment. When someone walks through our doors, they're not thinking about what happens behind the scenes. They shouldn't have to. They're there because they have a concern about their health. My job is to make sure everything they need is already in place when they arrive. The science to end the HIV epidemic exists. What stands between that science and the people who need it is access. That's what I build. I do this work because access to care shouldn't depend on luck. It should depend on someone deciding to build something that works — and then fighting to keep it funded. What keeps me going is knowing the door is open today because we did the work yesterday.

1 in 5 new HIV diagnoses occur among young people ages 13–24. That’s why youth-focused prevention matters. Men's Health Foundation provides health education for young people through our SoCal Club community centers, and testing, and treatment for patients ages 12 and up, helping build healthier futures. Join our fight to end the epidemic for the next generation. Donate through the link in our comments.

At Men's Health Foundation, our work reflects the core pillars of the national Ending the HIV Epidemic strategy: diagnose, treat, prevent, and respond. For people living with HIV in our care, the results speak for themselves: nearly 95% of patients in our practice are virally suppressed, and roughly two-thirds are undetectable. As we often say, U=U: Undetectable equals Untransmittable. Access to testing is equally critical. Through our Rapid Results sexual health clinics, individuals can receive same-day HIV test results and STI testing with results typically within 24 hours or less at our locations in WeHo and South LA. In 2025, we continued expanding the care that makes this work possible. Our behavioral health services now include two dedicated clinicians providing care at both of our primary care locations, with additional opportunities for group support at our SoCal Club community centers. Through integrated care (primary care, behavioral health, prevention, and rapid testing), we remain committed to doing our part to end the HIV epidemic. #UequalsU #endtheepidemic #endtheepidemics

Public health is at the heart of our mission. As we celebrate #NationalPublicHealthWeek, we reflect on our work to advance healthier communities through integrated care: including primary care, behavioral health services, pharmacy access, our SoCal Club youth community centers, and rapid STI & HIV testing and treatment. Expanding access to care requires collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to meeting people where they are. We’re grateful to the teams, partners, and community members who make this work possible every day.

As Senior Director of Pharmacy at Men’s Health Foundation since 2017, I have had the opportunity to lead and grow a pharmacy program centered on one clear goal: improving access, outcomes, and quality of care for our community. For more than 20 years, my work in HIV prevention and treatment has been guided by a single mission: to help end the HIV epidemic. At Men’s Health Foundation Pharmacy, that mission comes to life every day through the way we serve our community. We are more than a pharmacy. We are a clinical partner, a point of access, and a trusted support system for the patients we serve. As a dually accredited HIV specialty pharmacy with pharmacists credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, we are deeply integrated into patient care. We work closely with providers to optimize therapy, support long-acting injectable treatments, and help patients achieve and maintain viral suppression. We believe in U=U, Undetectable equals Untransmittable, and we see the impact of that every day. Our role extends far beyond medications. We are committed to removing barriers to care by helping patients navigate insurance challenges, access affordable treatment, and stay engaged in their care. Whether it is coordinating medication delivery, connecting patients to behavioral health services, supporting medical care coordination, or assisting with appointment scheduling through our clinic call center, we meet patients where they are and walk alongside them throughout their journey. Our pharmacists also lead innovative, outcomes driven programs in HIV care, diabetes management, statin optimization, and Medi-Cal MTM, bringing a whole person approach to improving health outcomes across our population. Ending the HIV epidemic will take more than clinical expertise. It requires trust, access, and a deep commitment to community. I am proud of the work our team does every day to make that vision a reality. Men's Health Foundation
